REMOVAL

1.

REMOVE CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY 
TERMINAL

2.

REMOVE SPARE TIRE

REMOVE BACK DOOR OUTSIDE MOULDING (See 
page

REMOVE BACK DOOR TRIM COVER RH (See page

7.

REMOVE BACK DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER
(a) Remove the back door service hole cover to the 

extent that the back door outside garnish can be 
removed.

8.

REMOVE BACK DOOR OUTSIDE GARNISH SUB-
ASSEMBLY
(a) Apply protective tape to the back door panel in the 

area around the back door outside garnish.

(b) Using a clip remover, disengage the 4 claws and 

remove the plug hole.

(c) Disconnect the license light connector.
(d) Disconnect the back door lock rod.

(e) Remove the 2 nuts.

(f)

Using a moulding remover, disengage the 4 clips 
and remove the back door outside garnish.

INSTALLATION

1.

INSTALL BACK DOOR OUTSIDE GARNISH SUB-
ASSEMBLY
(a) Engage the 4 clips and install the back door outside 

garnish.

EXTERIOR  –  BACK DOOR OUTSIDE GARNISH

(b) Tighten the 2 nuts.

Torque: 6.0 N*m (60 kgf*cm, 53 in.*lbf)

(c) Connect the back door lock rod.
(d) Connect the license light connector.

(e) Engage the 4 claws and install the plug hole.

(f)

Remove the protective tape.

(a) Install the back door service hole cover.
