BRAKE SYSTEM

REMOVAL

HAND TYPE

1.

Release the parking brake lever thoroughly.

2.

Remove the console. (Refer to BD group)

3.

Disconnect the parking brake cable (B) from the
equalizer assembly (A).

4.

Disconnect the parking brake switch connector (A).

5.

Remove the parking brake lever assembly by loosen-
ing the mounting bolts.

Remove the rear wheel

＆

tire.

7.

Remove the rear brake caliper and disc.

8.

Disconnect the brake cable (A) from the parking brake
assembly.

9.

Loosen all of the cable guide bracket bolts. (Refer to
Parking brake components)

10. Remove the both of brake shoes holder (A) and pin

(B).

11. Remove the upper spring (A) and strut (B).

12. Remove the lower spring (A), adjuster assembly (B),

and brake shoes.

FOOT TYPE

1.

Release the parking brake pedal thoroughly.

2.

Remove the lower crash pad.

3.

Remove the parking brake cable fixing clips (A), then
disconnect the cable from the parking brake pedal.

4.

Disconnect the parking brake switch connector (A).

5.

Remove the parking brake pedal assembly by loosen-
ing the mounting bolts.

Remove the rear wheel & tire.

7.

Remove the rear brake caliper and disc.

8.

Disconnect the brake cable (A) from the parking brake
assembly.

9.

Loosen all of the cable guide bracket bolts. (Refer to
Parking brake components)

10. Remove the both of brake shoes holder (A) and pin

(B).

11. Remove the upper spring (A) and strut (B).

12. Remove the lower spring (A), adjuster assembly (B),

and brake shoes.

INSTALLATION

1.

Installation is the reverse of removal.

2.

After installation, adjust the parking brake.

PARKING BRAKE SHOE CLEARANCE
ADJUSTMENT

1.

Remove the rear wheel

＆

tire.

2.

Remove the plug from the rear brake disc.

3.

Rotate adjuster assembly (A) downward until it can
not be rotate by using a screw driver.

4.

Rotate the adjust assembly by 5 notches in the oppo-
site direction.

5.

Install the plug to rear brake disc.

Install the rear wheel
