Malfunction of fuse for fuel pump 

Check the fuse of fuel pump for conducting and replace fuse if it’s 
broken;  

Malfunction of fuel pump relay   

Check relay of electric fuel pump for normal working; if it can’t work 
normally, then the relay of fuel pump should be replaced;   

Internal Malfunction of fuel pump 

Check if the resistance of pump is 0.20 – 3.0 Ohm    under 20 degree; 
and check internal coil of electric fuel pump for break or short-circuit; if 
it's different, the electric fuel pump assembly should be replaced;   

Malfunction of harness   

Check if harness of electric fuel pump is able to conduct, and if 
connectors and relay sockets are well contacted; if not, the fuel pump 
loop should be checked and repaired;   

Malfunction of main relay   

Check main relay for normal working; if it’s abnormal, the main relay 
should be replaced;

fuel tank cover   

Check fuel tank cover and gasket for distortion or damage; if resulting in blocking or 
damage of check valve on the cover, the fuel tank cover should be replaced;   

Malfunction of 
venting tube for 
fuel tank   

Check if the venting tube for fuel tank is bent, distorted or vented smoothly; if in case 
of blocking or venting hardly and resulting in over-pressure of fuel tank, then it 
should be replaced;   

Malfunction of 
venting check 
valve for fuel tank 

Check if the venting check valve for fuel tank is blocked or unavailable resulting in 
over-pressure of fuel tank, thus the check valve should be replaced.   

1. Inspect visually if the canister is cracked or broken; if so, the canister assembly 
should be replaced;   

2. Blocking the outlet of canister, blow air (4.71 kPa) into adsorbing entry and check 
the air discharged from desorbing outlet; if it doesn’t conform to regulation, the 
canister should be replaced;

3. Blow the air to adsorbing entry, and check the air should discharge through other 
outlet freely; if not, the canister assembly should be replaced;
