Hydraulic press

1. Clamp the input shaft in a vise. 

2. Special Tool(s): 

205-295

,

3. Remove the following items: 

1. Roller bearing 

Special Tool(s): 

205-295

,

2. Discard the snap ring. 

4. Special Tool(s): 

308-230

 

General Equipment: 

Hydraulic press

 

5. Discard the snap ring.

Assembly 

CAUTION: Use vise jaws protectors. 

7.

CAUTION: The detent balls are spring-

loaded. Take care when removing the 
selector ring from the synchronizer hub. 
NOTE: Note the position of each component 
before removal. 

Disassemble the following items: 

1. Selector ring 
2. Synchronizer body 
3. Compression springs 
4. Blocker bars 
5. Detent balls 

8. Clamp the input shaft in a vise. 

9. Lubricate the synchronizer rings with manual 

transmission fluid before assembly. 

Material: 

Transmission Oil 75W FE (WSS-

M2C200-D2 / 7U7J-M2C200-BA)

 

10. Assemble the following items: 

1. Compression springs 
2. Blocker bars and detent balls 
3. Selector ring

12. Install a new snap ring. 

13. Special Tool(s): 

205-068

 

General Equipment: 

Hydraulic press

 

14. Install the following items: 

1. Install a new snap ring. 
2. The roller bearing must not be lubricated.
