9. Discard the snap ring.

CAUTION: The detent balls are spring-

loaded. Take care when removing the 
selector ring from the synchronizer hub. 
NOTE: Note the position of each component 
before removal. 

Disassemble the following items: 

1. Selector ring 
2. Synchronizer body 
3. Compression springs 
4. Blocker bars 
5. Detent balls

Assembly 

CAUTION: Use vise jaw protectors. 

12. Clamp the output shaft in a vise. 

13. Lubricate the synchronizer rings with manual 

transmission fluid before assembly. 

Material: 

Transmission Oil 75W FE (WSS-

M2C200-D2 / 7U7J-M2C200-BA)

15. Assemble the following items: 

1. Compression springs 
2. Blocker bars and detent balls 
3. Selector ring 

 

 

16. Install a new snap ring.

2. Install a new snap ring. 

19. Assemble the following items: 

1. Compression springs 
2. Blocker bars and detent balls

20. Install a new snap ring. 

21. The roller bearing must not be lubricated.
