Alignment Tool, Crankshaft Position Sensor

Locking Tool, Crankshaft 

1. Refer to: 

Lifting

 (100-02 Jacking and Lifting, 

Description and Operation). 

2.   

1. Torque: 20 Nm 
2. Install the Special Tool(s): 

303-748

 

3. Rotate the crankshaft slowly until the crankshaft 

stops. 

Special Tool(s): 

303-748

Installation 

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

NOTE: Only tighten the bolts finger 
tight at this stage. 

2. Install the Special Tool(s): 

303-1521

CAUTION: Make sure that the 

component aligns with the installation 
mark. 

4. Torque: 7 Nm

Center punch
Ford diagnostic equipment

1.

NOTE: This step is only necessary when 
installing a new component. 

Download the PCM and throttle body configuration 
information into the diagnostic tool, using the 
Programmable Modules Installation routine.

3. Left-hand side wheel and tire.
