CAUTION: Only rotate the camshaft clockwise.

13. Install the Special Tool(s): 

303-1504

 

1. Refer to: 

Crankshaft Front Seal

 (303-01B Engine - 2.0L 

EcoBoost SCTi (149kW/203PS) - MI4, Removal and 
Installation).

CAUTION: Only rotate the crankshaft 

clockwise. 

Rotate the crankshaft slowly until the crankshaft stops.

Special Tool(s): 

303-748

CAUTION: Make sure that the 

component aligns with the installation mark.

Torque: 

 

100 Nm 
90° 

Stage 1: 
Stage 2: 

5. Remove the Special Tool(s): 

303-748

 

6. Remove the Special Tool(s): 

303-1504

CAUTION: Only rotate the crankshaft 

clockwise. 

8. Install the Special Tool(s): 

303-748

 

9. Rotate the crankshaft slowly until the crankshaft 

stops. 

Special Tool(s):

NOTE: The special tool can only be installed if the 
valve timing is correct. 

Install the Special Tool(s): 

303-1504

 

11. Remove the Special Tool(s): 

303-1504

2. Loosen: 2 turn(s)

NOTE: Only tighten the bolts finger tight at 
this stage. 

2. Install the Special Tool(s): 

303-1521

 

3.

CAUTION: Make sure that the 

component aligns with the installation mark.

4. Torque: 7 Nm 

14. Remove the Special Tool(s): 

303-1521

1. Remove the Special Tool(s): 

303-748

 

2. Torque: 20 Nm 

  

  

 

  

16. Special Tool(s): 

303-499

 

Torque: 

12 Nm

gasket is
