(3) Remove seal that is between the inner and

outer covers (Fig. 31).

(4) Pull straight up on the sport bar outer to

release the attachments.

(5) Remove sport bar outer cover from vehicle.

INSTALLATION - PT-27 ONLY

(1) Place sport bar outer cover into position (Fig.

31).

(2) Press clips on sport bar cover to the seated

position.

(3) Install sport bar inner covers. (Refer to 23 -

BODY/INTERIOR/SPORT BAR INNER COVERS -
INSTALLATION).

(4) Install seal between sport bar interior and

cover.

(5) Install right and left seat belt turning loops.

SUN VISOR

REMOVAL

WARNING: ALL VEHICLES WITH DRIVER AND PAS-
SENGER SIDE AIRBAGS MUST HAVE A COLORED
CODED FIVE BULLET POINT AIRBAG WARNING
LABEL APPLIED TO THE SUN VISOR, VERIFY
LABEL AVAILABILITY AND ENSURE THE LABEL IS
INSTALLED.

(1) Remove sun visor from center support.
(2) Remove screws attaching sun visor to roof

header.

(3) Remove sun visor from header.
(4) If equipped, disconnect wire connector from

body harness.

(5) Remove sun visor from vehicle.

REMOVAL - PT-27 ONLY

(1) Remove sun visor from sun visor retainer (Fig.

32).

(2) Remove screw attaching sun visor retainer.
(3) Remove retainer.
(4) Remove two screws attaching sun visor to

windshield surround frame.

(5) Lower sun visor and disconnect wire connector,

if equipped.

(6) Remove sun visor from vehicle.

INSTALLATION

(1) Place sun visor in position.
(2) If equipped, connect wire connector from body

harness.

(3) Install screws attaching sun visor to header.
(4) Install sun visor into center support.

INSTALLATION - PT-27 ONLY

(1) Place sun visor into position and connect wire

connector, if equipped (Fig. 32).

(2) Install two screws attaching sun visor to wind-

shield surround frame.

(3) Place retainer into position.

(4) Install screw attaching retainer.
(5) Attach sun visor to sun visor retainer.

TRUNK TRIM PANEL - PT-27

REMOVAL - PT-27 ONLY

(1) Remove decklid sill scuff plate (Fig. 33). (Refer

to 23 - BODY/INTERIOR/DECKLID SILL SCUFF
PLATE - REMOVAL).

(2) Disconnect

power

outlet/cargo

lamp,

equipped (Fig. 34).

(3) Remove push pin fastener attaching trunk side

trim panel (Fig. 35).

(4) Pull inward on trunk side trim panel to disen-

gage clips.

(5) Remove trunk side trim panel from vehicle.

Repeat operation for other side.

INSTALLATION - PT-27 ONLY

(1) Place trunk side trim panel into position (Fig.

35).

(2) Push clips on trunk side trim panel to the

seated position.

(3) Install push pin fastener.
(4) Connect power outlet/cargo lamp, if equipped

(Fig. 34).

(5) Disconnect

power

outlet/cargo

lamp,

(6) Install decklid sill scuff plate (Fig. 33). (Refer

BODY/INTERIOR/DOOR

TRUNK WELT - PT-27

REMOVAL - PT-27 ONLY

(1) Fold rear seats forward
(2) Start at a lower edge of welt and pull welt from

rear seat back support (Fig. 36).

(3) Remove pass through welt from vehicle.

INSTALLATION - PT-27 ONLY

(1) Place pass through welt into position (Fig. 36).
(2) Align paint dot on welt to BIW welt joint at top

of pass through opening, and press onto flange. Trim
welt over quarter trim as necessary.

(3) Move rear seats to the upright position.

UPPER C-PILLAR TRIM

REMOVAL

(1) Remove bolt attaching seat belt turning loop
(2) Disengage clips attaching trim to C-pillar (Fig.

37).

(3) Remove upper trim panel from vehicle.

INSTALLATION

(1) Place C-pillar trim panel in position (Fig. 37).
(2) Push clips on trim panel into slots in upper

C-pillar panel.

(3) Install bolt attaching seat belt turning loop.

Tighten seat belt turning loop attaching bolt to 40
N·m (30 ft. lbs.) torque.

WINDSHIELD HEADER
MOLDING -PT-27

REMOVAL - PT-27 ONLY

(1) Remove sun visor retainer and sun visor. (Refer

to 23 - BODY/INTERIOR/SUN VISOR - REMOVAL)
(Fig. 39).

(2) Using a trim stick, remove the header center

molding from the windshield surround frame (Fig.
38).
