(4) Install rear floor pan cargo and flat tire tie

down loop attaching screw.

(5)

Install cargo scuff plate.

(6) Install left and right seat belt anchor for the

rear seat.

(7) Install rear seats. (Refer to 23 - BODY/SEATS/

SEAT - INSTALLATION).

(8) Install rear seat pivot bezels (Fig. 12).
(9) Install attaching screw for left and right rear

seat fold forward check strap (Fig. 11).

(10) Place seat in the up right position.

FRONT FLOOR CARPET
RIGHT/LEFT SIDE -PT-27

REMOVAL - PT-27 ONLY

(1) Remove front seats. (Refer to 23 - BODY/

SEATS/SEAT - REMOVAL).

(2) Remove door sill trim covers. (Refer to 23 -

BODY/INTERIOR/DOOR SILL TRIM - REMOVAL).

(3) Remove cowl trim covers. (Refer to 23 - BODY/

INTERIOR/COWL TRIM - REMOVAL).

(4) Remove center floor console. (Refer to 23 -

BODY/INTERIOR/CENTER

CONSOLE

REMOVAL).

(5) Remove push pin fasteners (Fig. 15).
(6) Remove carpet from vehicle.

INSTALLATION - PT-27 ONLY

(1) Place carpet into position (Fig. 15).
(2) Install push pin fasteners.
(3) Install center floor console. (Refer to 23 -

BODY/INTERIOR/CENTER CONSOLE - INSTALLA-
TION).

(4) Install cowl trim covers. (Refer to 23 - BODY/

INTERIOR/COWL TRIM - INSTALLATION).

(5) Install door sill trim covers. (Refer to 23 -

BODY/INTERIOR/DOOR SILL TRIM - INSTALLA-
TION).

(6) Install front seats. (Refer to 23 - BODY/SEATS/

SEAT - INSTALLATION).

(1) Remove front seats. (Refer to 23 - BODY/

SEATS/SEAT - REMOVAL).

(2) Remove door sill trim covers. (Refer to 23 -

BODY/INTERIOR/DOOR SILL TRIM - REMOVAL).

(3) Remove center floor console. (Refer to 23 -

BODY/INTERIOR/CENTER

REMOVAL).

(4) Remove push pin fasteners at console area and

rear edge of carpet (Fig. 16).

(5) Remove rear floor carpet from vehicle.

INSTALLATION - PT-27 ONLY

(1) Place rear floor carpet into position (Fig. 16).
(2) Install push pin fasteners at console area and

rear edge of carpet.

(3) Install center floor console. (Refer to 23 -

BODY/INTERIOR/CENTER CONSOLE - INSTALLA-
TION).

(4) Install door sill trim covers. (Refer to 23 -

BODY/INTERIOR/DOOR SILL TRIM - INSTALLA-
TION).

(5) Install front seats. (Refer to 23 - BODY/SEATS/

SEAT - INSTALLATION).

UPPER D-PILLAR TRIM

REMOVAL

(1) Disengage clips attaching trim to D-pillar and

quarter trim (Fig. 37).

(2) Remove upper trim panel from vehicle.

INSTALLATION

(1) Place D-pillar trim panel in position (Fig. 37).
(2) Push clips on trim panel into slots in upper

D-pillar panel and slots in the quarter trim.

HEADER LATCH RETAINER -
PT-27

REMOVAL - PT-27 ONLY

(1) Place convertible top in the partial up position

(Fig. 17).

(2) Remove header end molding as necessary.

(Refer to 23 - BODY/INTERIOR/REAR HEADER
TRIM - REMOVAL).

(3) Remove two screws attaching header latch

retainer to windshield surround frame (Fig. 18).

(4) Remove header latch retainer from vehicle.

INSTALLATION - PT-27 ONLY

(1) Place header latch retainer into position on the

windshield surround frame (Fig. 18).

(2) Install two screws attaching header latch

retainer to the windshield surround frame. Tighten
screws to 28 N·m (21 ft. lbs.) torque.

(3) Install header end molding. (Refer to 23 -

BODY/INTERIOR/HEADER

INSTALLATION)

(4) Raise top. Latch the folding top. Ensure proper

fit and operation. (Refer to 23 - BODY/CONVERT-
IBLE TOP/LATCH SYSTEM - INSTALLATION) for
adjustment procedures.

(5) Place convertible top in the partial up position

(Fig. 17).

HEADLINER

REMOVAL

(1) Fully recline front seats and fold rear seats for-

ward.

(2) Remove screws attaching sun visors to roof

header panel (Fig. 19).

(3) Disconnect wire connector from lighted vanity

mirror, if so equipped.

(4) Remove trim lace, if equipped with sun roof.
(5) Remove sun visors from vehicle.
(6) Remove A-pillar trim covers.
(7) Remove B-pillar trim panels.
(8) Remove C-pillar and D-pillar trim panels.
(9) Remove assist handle, if so equipped.
(10) Remove sun visor hooks.
(11) Remove coat hooks, if so equipped.
(12) Remove two push in fasteners at rear of head-

liner.

(13) Disengage wire connector, at base of A-pillar.
(14) Remove push in fastener attaching wiring to

A-pillar.

(15) Remove headliner through rear hatch.

INSTALLATION

(1) Load headliner through rear hatch (Fig. 19).
(2) Install sun visor hooks, if so equipped.
(3) Install two push in fastener at rear of head-

liner.

(4) Install coat hooks, if so equipped.
(5) Install assist handles, if so equipped.
(6) Install push in fastener attaching headliner

wiring to A-pillar.

(7) Connect wire connector, at base of A-pillar.
(8) Install C and D-pillar trim.
(9) Install B-pillar trim panels.
(10) Install A-pillar trim covers.

(11) Install trim lace, if equipped with sun roof.
(12) Install sun visors, lighted vanity mirror wire

connector, if so equipped, and screws attaching sun
visors to roof header panel.

INSIDE REAR VIEW MIRROR

REMOVAL

REMOVAL

(1) Loosen the mirror base set screw (Fig. 20).
(2) Slide the mirror base upward and off the

bracket.

REMOVAL - PT-27 ONLY

(1) Loosen the mirror base set screw (Fig. 21).
(2) Slide the mirror base upward and off the

bracket.

(3) Disconnect wire harness, if equipped.

INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

(1) Position the mirror base at the bracket and

slide it downward onto the support bracket (Fig. 20).

(2) Tighten the setscrew 1 N·m (15 in. lbs.) torque.

INSTALLATION - PT-27 ONLY

(1) Connect wire harness, if equipped (Fig. 21).
(2) Slide the mirror base downward and onto the

bracket.

(3) Tighten the mirror base set screw.
