Disassembly of Rear Windshield 

Disassemble the lower panel strip 

l.  Apply a scraper to cut off the double-side tape on both 

ends of panel strip, as shown in the right picture. Hint: 

Apply  the  adhesive  tape  to  bind  the  tip  of  scraper 

before application. 

Disassemble the rear windshield 

l.  In  the  vehicle,  pass  a  piano  wire  through  the  gap 

between the body and windshield. 

2.  Apply  the  wood  blocks  or  equivalents  to  seize  up  the 

both  ends  of  piano  wire.  Hint:  The  adhesive  tape  is 

applied in the outside of piano wire to avoid damaging 

the external surface of windshield.   

3.  Pull  the  piano  wire  along  the  adhesive  to  cut  off  the 

adhesive. 

Hint: Do not let the piano wire damage the two stoppers. 

4.  Remove the windshield. 

Detach the rear windshield panel strip. 

Assemble in the reverse order of disassembly. 

Assembly of Rear Windshield 

Install the rear windshield panel strip. 

Place  the  panel  strip  on  the  surrounding  of  windshield, 

and install it by hand. 

Hint:  When  installing  the  panel  strip,  the  rear  windshield 

must be removed firstly. 

Clean and finish the body contact surface 

Apply a knife to remove the coarse parts from the body. 

Hint: Leave the as much adhesive on the body as possible, 

and apply a cloth soaked in cleaning solution to clean the 

cutting surface of adhesive. 

Hint: Even though all adhesives are removed, the surface

Clean the detached windshield 

l.  Apply  a  scraper  to  remove  the  adhesive  on  the 

windshield. 

2.  Apply a scraper to remove the stopper. 

3.  Apply the cleaning solution to rinse the windshield. 

WARNING: Do not touch the windshield after cleaning. 

Windshield Positioning 

l.  Place the windshield in a proper position. 

2.  Note  the  reference  markings  on  the  windshield  and 

body. 

3.  Remove the windshield. 

Clean the contact surface of windshield 

Apply the cleaning solution to remove the black smudges 

on the contact surface around the windshield.   

WARNING: Do not touch the surface  of  windshield after 

cleaning.

Apply the cleaning solution to remove the black smudges 

on the contact surface around the windshield.   

WARNING:  Do  not  touch  the  surface  of 
windshield after cleaning. 

Apply a coat of primer M on the contact surface 
of body 

Use  a  brush  to  apply  a  coat  of  primer  M  on  the  contact 

surface of body. 

WARNING: The  primer  coating  shall  be  dried  more  than 

3 minutes 

Do not apply the primer on the adhesive 

Do  not  store  the  unsealed  primer  M  till  for  the  future

Apply a coat of primer G on the contact surface 
of windshield 

l.  Use a brush  or sponge to apply a coat of primer G on 

the edge and contact surface of windshield. 

2.  Apply  a  clean  cloth  to  wipe  off  the  primer  before  it 

dries.   

WARNING:

 The primer coating shall be dried more 

than 3 minutes. 

Do not apply the primer on the adhesive. 

Do  not  store  the  unsealed  primer  G  for  any 
future application. 

Mix the Adhesive 

WARNING:  It  shall  be  ensured  that  the  assembly 
of panel  strip  is  finished during the validity period 
of adhesive and the adhesive is mixed successfully 
within 5 minutes.   

l.  Apply  the  dissolvent  to  thoroughly  clean  the  glass 

plate and putty scraper. 

2.  On  the  glass  plate  or  equivalents,  apply  a  scraper  to 

fully mix the 500 g main agent and the 75 g hardening 

agent. 

Apply the Adhesive 

l.  Cut  off  the  nozzle  of  tube-shaped  kettle,  and  add  the 

adhesive into the kettle.   

2.  Fill the tube-shaped kettle into the sealant gun.   

3.  Apply the adhesive on the windshield, as shown in the 

right picture. 

Glass Assembly 

l.  Install the  windshield to align the windshield with the 

reference  making  on  the  body,  and  then  pressure  the 

windshield gently into the frame along its edge. 

2.  Use  a  scraper  to  apply  the  adhesive  on  the  edge  of 

windshield. 

3.  Use  the  scraper  to  remove  the  excessive  or 

overflowing adhesive. 

4.  Clamp  the  windshield  tightly  till  the  adhesive  gets

Check the leakage of water and repair it. 

1. 

Conduct the water leakage test after the adhesive gets hardened. 

2. 

Apply the sealant to seal the part of water leakage. 

Part  Number:  08833-00030  or  equivalents.  Install  the  lower  panel  strip  of  the  outside  of  rear 

windshield,  fix  the  panel  strip  to  the  body,  tap  it  gently  by  hand  till  it  is  tightened,  and  connect  the 

defroster connector.
