4. Troubleshooting code elimination
(1) Eliminate the troubleshooting codes with a diagnostic instrument;
(2) Disconnect the battery cathode for over 3 minutes (the engine needs initialization
setup).

3. Troubleshooting procedure

Step Description

Yes

No

Will the troubleshooting procedure be
implemented?

To Step 2

Troubleshooting
procedure

Check if relevant equipment show any of the
following:
•  The vacuum hose on the manifold is

detached, damaged or suffers any bad
contact

•  Air intake manifold found of air leakage
•  Throttle leakage
Is there any of the above?

Confirm
repair

To Step 3

Unfix the sensor fittings
Check if the absolute pressure is close to
0.103bar (0V) with an ADC 2000 diagnostic
instrument.

To Step 5

To Step 4

Check the sensor signal circuit and if the
circuit between the sensor and the ECM
suffers any short circuit with the power source
(anode).

Confirm
repair

To Step 11

Check the sensor signal circuit and if the
circuit between the sensor and the ECM
suffers any of the following:
•  Ground fault (Ω stage)
•  Open circuit (Ω stage)
Is there any of the above?

Confirm
repair

To Step 6

Check the 5V reference voltage and if the
circuit between the sensor and the ECM
suffers any of the following:
•  Ground fault (Ω stage)
•  Open circuit (Ω stage)
•  Short circuit with the power source (anode):

(Voltage stage)

Confirm
repair

To Step 7

Turn off the ignition switch
Create a short circuit between the sensor signal
terminal (Terminal B) and the ECM reference
voltage terminal (Terminal C). Turn on the
ignition switch and observe if the ADC2000
diagnostic instrument displays an absolute
voltage of 1.04bar (5V)?

To Step 8

To Step 11
