Check the sensor’s ground circuit and if 
there is any of the following for the circuit 
between the sensor and the ECM: 
•  Ground fault (Ω stage) 
•  Open circuit (Ω stage) 
•  Short circuit with the power source 

(anode): (Voltage stage)

Turn on the ignition switch  
Measure with a voltmeter if the voltage 
between the ground circuit and the 
reference voltage is 5V.

3. Troubleshooting procedure
