  Chery A15 Maintenance Manual 

 Align tapping screw expansion nut hole center, tighten 2 tapping screws with 

tightening torque 1.5±0.2N·m. Assemble license light guard board 

 Align trunk lock barrel with hole location so as to ensure good adaptation of 

guard board and body; 

 Tighten 2 tapping screws, pay attention to adjust the surface difference and 

movable part between the said screws and body/movable parts, feel height 
difference manually, adjust based on the hand feel while tightening;   

 Open trunk lid;   
 Tighten nuts of 2 square fixed bolts;   
 Properly assemble connecting rod and cover plate of lock barrel (refer to 

body description), and lay down trunk lid.   

7.      Assembling of interior dome lamp 

  Properly connect harness pin;   
  Embed ceiling mounting hole according to right position and direction, with 

one end properly connected with ceiling first, and then press in dome lamp 
manually.  

8.   Assembling of trunk light 

 Open trunk lid;     
 Properly connect harness pin;   
 Firstly match a wedge-position end with rear speaker cover, and then press in 

lamp manually. And lay down trunk lid.   

9.      Assembling of high mount stop lamp 

  Press both ends to separate lamp holder and lamp body, pull out wire 

connector;  

  Plug two single-end sockets of wire to male tab of windshield;   
  Properly assemble lamp body according to slot combination structure, pay 

attention to the matching of back trough and anchor pin so as to fix lamp 
body to the right position;   

  Properly plug wire and lamp holder, and fix the lamp holder and lamp body 

to the right position.   

10.    Adjustment of front headlight light beam 

Whether the adjustment of front headlight light beam is correct or not influences 

running security directly. So dedicated instrument is allowable exclusively for the 
adjustment of light beam. When adjusting, pay attention to legal regulations.   

11.      The following particulars shall be satisfied prior to adjustment:   

 Auto tire pressure meets the standard;

 Automobile idling (apart from spare tire and driver's tool, driver weight shall 

be included according to general regulations of sedan car);   

 Automobile shall be parked on horizontal road-surface or operation field;   
 The lens' surface of front headlight shall be clean and dirty-free;   
 Check to see if power source works properly, and bulb is correctly 

assembled.  

 The two screws, which connecting front headlight can be adjusted in the 

direction of up, down, left and right.   

 Headlight protecting cover shall be taken down when adjusting right front 

headlight. Front left headlight adjusting screw and front right headlight are 

arranged in symmetry, and the adjustment method is identical.

II. Operations 

Cassette 

1. Turn knob  ①  rightward to power on and increase volume adequately. 

2. Push the cassette into cassette seat  ⑤ with the opening on the right side until the 

cassette is locked, and the playback begins. LCD  ④  displays “TAPE” and direction 

indication “◢” or “◣”. 

3. Adjust volume knob  ①  and tone knob  ②  to obtain desired sound effect. 

4. Cassette player will automatically reverse at the end of tape. Manual reverse is

available by pressing Rewind  ⑥ and Forward ⑦ simultaneously. 

5. To select desired track, press one of Forward  ⑦ and Rewind ⑥, and then press 

the other one to play. 

6. “◢” or “◣ displayed in LCD is the playing direction of cassette, “◢” indicates 

clockwise playing, while “◣” counterclockwise. 

7. To stop playing or when replacing cassette, press Eject  ③  to eject cassette. 

Radio 

1. Power, volume control and tone adjustment are the same with cassette playback. 

2. Press FM/AM selection (13), LCD  ④  will display the available wave bands FM1, 

FM2, FM3 and AM for your option. 

3. Manual/automatic tuning (band selection): 

(1). Quickly press  >⑧ or <⑨  for manually tuning. Repeat pressing until desired 

program is locked. 

(2). Keep pressing  > or <  for 0.5 seconds for automatic tuning, which will end 

after radio signals are received. Repeat step (1) or (2) to select desired program. 

4. Automatic scan tuning:   

Quickly press SCN (11) to activate automatic scan. System will scan for radio signals 

automatically from current frequency to higher end. Each time a radio signal is 

received, the system will stop scanning for 5 seconds with the frequency flashing on 

LCD and the program being played, and then the system will scan on to higher 

frequency until the end is reached, where the system will automatically return to the 

low end and rescan. 

When one certain frequency is desired, press SCN when the frequecy is flashing on 

LCD to stop scanning. Another pressing of SCN will resume automatic scan. 

5. When a stereo signal is scanned, LCD  ④ will display the stereo mark “ST”. When 

a mono signal is desired, press “MO” (14) once, and the “ST” mark on LCD will be 

replaced by “MO” mark.   

Frequency Memory 

Frequency memory provides a capacity of 4X6 frequencies respectively in FM1, FM2,
