Research methodology includes modern methods of\r\nmulti-criterial choice accounting for the preferences of decision makers. The paper provides an\r\nup-to-date assessment of actual return policy in e-commerce companies in the Russian Federation,\r\nand also proposes a multi-criterial approach to solving the problems of interfunctional and\r\ninterorganizational interaction when choosing return policy parameters, taking into account legal\r\nrestrictions and the interests of e-commerce marketplace participants. The practice of implementing\r\nthe return policy is assessed in this study in view of insufficient high-quality urban warehouses,\r\nas well as limited ability to hire new couriers for deliveries on the “last mile” to the customers’\r\ndoors. We find that almost all CEOs in Russia have higher\r\neducation, that PhD degrees are unusually common, while MBA degrees are relatively rare,\r\nthat CEOs with different levels of education differ among a number of key socio-demographic\r\ncharacteristics and that the appointment of CEOs with various educational levels is systematically\r\nrelated to firm-level attributes, including ownership and governance structure. In particular,\r\nPhD CEOs, who are relatively older, are more likely to have prior connections to government\r\nand also tend to be chosen by companies with state ownership, while MBA CEOs, who are\r\nrelatively younger, are more likely to be chosen by companies with foreign ownership. An\r\nimportant implication is that establishing a causal effect of CEO education on firm behavior\r\nand performance requires addressing endogeneity problems caused by potential omitted\r\nvariables at the CEO level and non-random selection of CEOs by different types of firms. The aim of this study is to investigate the role of target’s\r\nfinancial performance in acquisition process and its influence on acquisition success.\r\nResearch scope of the study is narrowed to BRICS companies, where lack of experience\r\nand intensively growing economies led to a growth in M&A deals number. The study uses\r\nthe accounting-based approach that implies calculation of combined ROA change to measure\r\nacquisition performance and answer the posed research question. Based on 70 acquisition\r\ndeals data collected from Bureau van Zephyr, Refinitiv Eikon and SPARK, the research relies\r\non building logistic and OLS regressions in order to observe long-term effects of various\r\nparameters influencing acquisition success. The results of this study suggest that acquisitions\r\naffect combined financial performance of the companies negatively, on average, but they\r\nare more successful if the target company was making losses prior the deal than if the\r\ntarget had sufficient financial health. In addition, we revealed that cross-border and crossindustry\r\nfactors positively influence the performance of the deals. Among a large number of problems related to approximation, we considered the problem of polynomial approximation in two variables of a function defined on the continuum of an elliptic curve in C2 and holomorphic in its interior. The formulation of such a question led to the need to study the approximation of a function that is continuous on the continuum of the complex plane and analytic in its interior, using polynomials in doubly periodic Weierstrass functions and their derivatives. The article analyzes the main directions of the strategy of this sphere\r\nof activity of the United Kingdom, examines the situation of the British military-industrial\r\ncomplex and the main challenges facing the national defense and security of London. The\r\npaper explores the main directions of defense and security policy, the vision of challenges by\r\nthe British political and military leadership. The turn of the United Kingdom’s priorities in\r\ndefense and security from “hybrid threats” to the possibility of confrontation with the regular\r\nforces of major military powers and its causes are revealed. One of the most important observations\r\nin the article is the role of the withdrawal of Allied troops from Afghanistan and\r\nits consequences in the British defense strategy. The importance of the Ukrainian conflict\r\nsince February 24, 2022 and the involvement of British military and political resources in it is\r\nemphasized. The paper also examines the possible consequences of this conflict for British defense\r\nand security. The main conclusion of the work is the thesis about the collapse of the concept\r\nof “Global Britain” due to the lack of adequate resources to control a number of regions\r\n(first of all, we are talking about the Middle East, the Black Sea basin and Central Asia) and the\r\ndecline in the level of competence of the top political leadership of the United Kingdom. The\r\ncrisis in the British military-industrial complex and its dependence on foreign technologies\r\nand products is stated. However, the change of the dominant plant community cause significant ecosystem changes, reflecting at the structure and functioning of the soil microbial complex as well. The shifts in prokaryotic community of the meadow soil resulting from the conversion of the native meadow (further grassland) phytocenosis to the artificial forest plantations was investigated with the use of NGS sequencing technology and metabarcoding approach-amplicon sequencing of V4 region of 16 S rRNA (performed on Illumina Miseq platform). The identified shifts in taxonomic structure and diversity may be the result of changes in the physic-chemical conditions of soils and, on the other hand, may serve as indicators of such changes. Cultivation of larch led to an increase in the diversity of the prokaryotic community and its stratification by depth. The acidifying effect of larch manifested itself in an increase in the proportion and diversity of acidobacteria, in the abundance of oligotrophic microorganisms of phyla Chloroflexi, Firmicutes, and a simultaneous comparative decrease in the bacteria of Verrucomicrobia phylum, alphaproteobacteria of or. Rhizobiales and Burkholderiales. Prions in yeast are self-perpetuating heritable protein aggregates that can be leveraged to study the interaction between the protein quality control (PQC) machinery and misfolded proteins. More than ten prions have been identified in yeast, of which the most studied ones include [PSI+], [URE3], and [PIN+]. While all of the major molecular chaperones have been implicated in propagation of yeast prions, many of these chaperones differentially impact propagation of different prions and/or prion variants. In this review, we summarize the current understanding of the life cycle of yeast prions and systematically review the effects of different chaperone proteins on their propagation. Our analysis clearly shows that Hsp40 proteins play a central role in prion propagation by determining the fate of prion seeds and other amyloids. Moreover, direct prion-chaperone interaction seems to be critically important for proper recruitment of all PQC components to the aggregate. In particular, they are promising candidates as dopants for polymeric membranes in potentiometric sensors and liquid-junction free reference electrodes. However, the effective use of ILs requires a comprehensive understanding of their electrolytic behavior in the polymeric phase. We report here the exploration of the electrolytic and diffusion properties of IL 1-hexyl-3-methyl-1H-imidazol-3-ium bis[(trifluoromethyl)sulfonyl]amide ([C6Meim][NTf2]) in a poly(vinyl chloride) matrix. Chronopotentiometry is utilized to determine the concentration of charge carriers, ionic diffusion coefficients and apparent dissociation constant of [C6Meim][NTf2] in PVC membranes plasticized with a mixture of [C6Meim][NTf2] and bis(2-ethylhexyl) sebacate (DOS) over a wide range of IL concentrations. The diffusion properties of [C6Meim][NTf2] are confirmed by NMR-diffusometry. The non-monotonic electrolytic behavior of the IL in PVC-DOS matrix is described for the first time. A maximum ionization degree and diffusion coefficient is observed at 30 wt.% of IL in the plasticizing mixture. Университет есть собрание ученых людей, которые наукам высоким, яко Теологии и Юриспруденции (Прав искусству), Медицины и Философии, сиречь до какого состояния оные ныне дошли, младых людей обучают». Том VII (1723-1727) Полного Собрания законов Российской империи с текстом Указа является одним из ключевых экспонатов выставки.\r\n\r\nСобрание книг Петровского времени, находящееся в фонде Научной библиотеки имени М. Горького СПбГУ, включает 65 изданий, выпущенных типографиями Амстердама, Москвы, Петербурга и Чернигова с 1700 по 1725 год. Посетители выставки получили уникальную возможность увидеть виртуальные копии таких редких изданий, как «Политиколепная апофеозис по преславной виктории на генералной баталии бывшей под Полтавою» (1709), сочинение Чезаре Баронио «Деяния церковная и гражданская», напечатанное кириллицей и пользовавшееся большой популярностью в различных слоях русского общества того времени, перевод работы немецкого правоведа и историка Самуэля фон Пуфендорфа «Введение в гисторию европейскую», сделанный по распоряжению Петра I, который высоко ценил его труды. К числу редчайших изданий, хранящихся в Научной библиотеке СПбГУ, относятся книги, выпущенные по распоряжению Петра I в Амстердаме. The results revealed that transcripts of nanos are expressed during differentiation of multiple tissues, including those that are derived from the 2d and 4d cells. In late embryonic stages and during larval development, these transcripts are expressed in the presumptive brain, ventral nerve cord, mesodermal bands, putative primordial germ cells (PGCs), and developing foregut and hindgut. During metamorphosis of the nectochaete larva into a juvenile worm, a posterior growth zone consisting of nanos-positive cells is established, and the PGCs begin to migrate. Later, the PGCs stop migrating and form a cluster of four nanos-expressing cells located immediately behind the jaws (segments 4-5). During posterior regeneration following caudal amputation, a robust Avi-nanos expression appears de novo at the site of injury and further accompanies all steps of regeneration. The\r\nfirst norms of labor legislation emphasized democracy and attention to the literal mathematical\r\nequality of the parties during procedures for resolving conflicts and resolving cases, which\r\nhas reference to the classical judicial principles of openness, publicity, transparency, and parity\r\nin proceedings, and allows us to make a reservation in terms of confusion and inconsistency\r\nand rationing the activities of all quasi-judicial institutions. Conciliation and mediation institutions,\r\non the one hand, were built into the system of labor relations, and on the other hand,\r\nthey are qualified as quasi-judicial, with all the signs of judicial activity. The package of measures included the\r\nextension of possibilities to take paid or unpaid parental leave, monetary allowances, and incentives\r\nto use remote work. These measures are aimed at ensuring safe working conditions and curbing the spread of the virus, supporting family incomes, as well as maintaining overall\r\neconomic stability, and avoiding mass layoffs and interruptions in the provision of basic services.\r\nThus, extraordinary parental leave is granted to a wider range of people than “standard”\r\nleave, and it provides a higher amount of payments with protection during the leave period\r\nfrom dismissals and with the preservation of the workplace. In cases where the use of leave is\r\nnot possible, as an alternative measure, funds are provided to pay for child care, and they can\r\nbe paid during the period of annual paid leave, maternity leave, and parental leave, but they\r\nare not provided for remote work and suspension from work. One of their most popular tools\r\nis the transfer to remote work, which allows you to ensure the continuity of work in a safe environment\r\nand guarantee the combination of work with personal life. However, they still struggle to achieve the rights and entitlements typically accorded\r\nby national labor laws to employees. The crux of disputes involving platform workers raised\r\naround the world — over 100 in the EU alone — evolved around their classification. Obviously,\r\nthe aim of the litigation of gig workers was to open the main door leading to employment\r\nand social security rights, i.e. to obtain “worker” status. The outcome of the disputes has\r\nbeen rather mixed, even though there has been a clear stabilization. Many lawsuits have so far\r\nbeen promoted across to challenge the “independent contractor” status accorded to platforms\r\nto gig-workers, with mixed success. These decisions show that the traditional employment\r\ntests do not completely understand this new model of work, so maintaining a high degree of\r\nlegal uncertainty around platform workers.
