2. REMOVE LICENSE PLATE LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH 

a. Remove the screw.  

b. Detach the claw and remove the license plate light.  

3. REMOVE LICENSE PLATE LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH 

HINT: 

Use the same procedures described for the LH side. 

4. REMOVE REAR BUMPER COVER 

a. w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System: 

Disconnect the connectors and clamps shown in illustration.

b. Remove the 2 clips and 4 screws.  



After the ignition switch is turned OFF, the navigation system 
requires approximately 90 seconds to record various types of 
memory and settings. As a result, after turning the ignition switch 
OFF, wait 90 seconds or more before disconnecting the cable from 
the negative (-) battery terminal.

c. Remove the 4 bolts and 2 nuts.  

d. Detach the 4 claws and remove the rear bumper cover.

5. REMOVE REAR BUMPER PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY 

a. Remove the 6 bolts and bumper pad.

6. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 BUMPER SUPPORT 

a. Remove the bumper support.

7. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE EXTENSION SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

a. Remove the 3 screws, bolt and side extension.

8. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE EXTENSION SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 

HINT: 

Use the same procedures described for the LH side. 

9. REMOVE NO. 3 WIRE FRAME (w/ Trailer Towing System) 

a. Disconnect the connector.  

b. Detach the clamp.  

c. Remove the 2 bolts and wire frame.

DISASSEMBLY 

1. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE RETAINER LH 

a. Remove the 4 clips and retainer.
