13. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION COVER

(a) Using hog ring pliers, install the rear seat cushion 

cover with 10 new hog rings.
NOTICE:
•

Do not soil or scratch the rear seat cushion 
cover.

•

When installing the hog rings, minimize 
wrinkles as far as possible.

14. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION FRAME SUB-

ASSEMBLY
(a) Engage the hook and install the rear seat cushion 

frame.

15. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION STOPPER

(a) Install the rear seat cushion stopper with the screw.

16. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION UNDER COVER

(a) Insert the rear seat cushion stopper into the slit of 

the rear seat cushion under cover.

(b) Install the rear seat cushion under cover with the 7 

clips.

(c) Install the rear seat cushion stopper into the rear 

seat cushion cover band.

17. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION HINGE SUB-

ASSEMBLY
HINT:
Use the same procedure for both sides.
(a) Engage the hook and install the rear seat cushion 

hinge.

(b) Install the rear seat cushion hinge with the bolt.

Torque: 18 N*m (185 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf)

INSTALLATION

1.

INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY
(a) Engage the hook and temporarily install the rear 

seatback with the 2 bolts.

(b) Tighten the 2 bolts in the sequence shown in the 

illustration.
Torque: 37 N*m (375 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf)

(c) Pull up the rear seatback.

(d) Install the rear seat inner belt into the rear seatback 

holder.

(e) Install the anchor plate of the rear center seat outer 

belt with the bolt.
Torque: 42 N*m (430 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf)
NOTICE:
Do not place the anchor plate over the convex 
area of the rear seat inner belt.

2.

INSTALL REAR SEATBACK BOARD CARPET 
ASSEMBLY
(a) Pull the rear seatback lock release button and tilt 

the rear seatback forward.

(b) Engage the 10 clips and install the rear seatback 

board carpet.

(c) Pull up the rear seatback.

3.

INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY
(a) Insert the locating pin into the body hole.
(b) Temporarily install the rear seat cushion with the 2 

bolts.

(c) Tighten the 2 bolts in the sequence shown in the 

illustration.
Torque: 37 N*m (375 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf)

REMOVAL

CAUTION:
Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag 
system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the 
SRS airbag system before servicing (w/ Front Seat Side 
Airbag) (See page 

RS-1

).

HINT:
The procedure described below is for the driver side. Use the 
same procedure for both the driver and front passenger 
sides, unless otherwise specified.

1.

DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY 
TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait for at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the 
cable to prevent the airbag from working (w/ Front 
Seat Side Airbag).

2.

REMOVE FRONT SEAT TRACK COVER
HINT:
Use the same procedure for both sides.
(a) Insert a flat- head screwdriver (diameter: 

approximately above 5 mm (0.197 in.)) between the 
front seat track cover inside claw lower part and 
floor mat.

(b) Place an object with a height of approximately 5 to 8 

mm (0.197 to 0.315 in.) below the screwdriver. Use 
the object as the screwdriver fulcrum and push 
down on the screwdriver to remove the front seat 
track cover inside claw, as shown in the illustration.
