a. Disconnect the J28 meter connector.  

b. Disconnect the D77*1, E11*2 gauge connector. 

*1: for 2UZ-FE 

LED operates correctly according to engine condition

LED does not operate correctly according to engine condition (for 3UR-FE)

C

LED does not operate correctly according to engine condition (for 3UR-FBE)

DESCRIPTION 

The voltmeter indicates the voltage applied to the IG+ terminal of the combination meter.

1. INSPECT FUSE (MET) 

a. Remove the MET fuse from the engine room relay block.  

b. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. 

Standard resistance  

FUSE (MET) RESISTANCE REFERENCE 

NG: REPLACE FUSE  

OK: Go to next step  

2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST BY TECHSTREAM (VOLTMETER) 

a. Operate the Techstream according to the display and select "ACTIVE TEST" or "Active Test" (see 

DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST ). 

Techstream 

Combination Meter:  

TECHSTREAM COMBINATION METER SPECIFICATIONS 

OK: Needle indication is normal.  

NG: REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY (see REMOVAL ) 

OK: Go to next step  

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER - BATTERY AND BODY 

GROUND) 

a. Disconnect the J28 meter connector.
