NOTE:

When disconnecting the cable some systems need to be initialized after 
the cable is reconnected (See INITIALIZATION ).

REMOVAL 

1. DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE (See REMOVAL )  

2. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )  

3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )  

4. DISCONNECT VENTILATION HOSE 

a. Disconnect the ventilation hose.

5. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  

6. REMOVE NO. 3 ENGINE COVER  

7. REMOVE FUEL PRESSURE PULSATION DAMPER CAP 

a. Remove the 2 fuel pressure pulsation damper caps.

8. REMOVE FUEL PRESSURE PULSATION DAMPER COVER 

a. Remove the 4 bolts and 2 fuel pressure pulsation damper covers.

9. REMOVE FUEL PRESSURE PULSATION DAMPER ASSEMBLY 

a. Pull the 2 fuel pressure pulsation dampers out of the fuel delivery pipes to remove it.

INSTALLATION 

1. INSTALL FUEL PRESSURE PULSATION DAMPER ASSEMBLY 

a. Apply a light coat of spindle oil or gasoline to the 2 O-rings. 

NOTE:



Make sure that there are no scratches or foreign matter in or 
around the hole of the delivery pipe.  



When installing the fuel pressure pulsation damper, be careful 
not to damage the O-ring.
