3. INSTALL FUEL TANK ASSEMBLY 

a. Install the fuel tank (See INSTALLATION ).  

FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR

REMOVAL 

1. REMOVE FUEL SUCTION WITH PUMP AND GAUGE TUBE ASSEMBLY 

a. Remove the fuel suction with pump and gauge tube assembly (See REMOVAL ).  

2. REMOVE FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR ASSEMBLY 

a. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the fuel pressure regulator. 

HINT: 

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

INSPECTION 

1. INSPECT FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR ASSEMBLY 

a. Check for visible damage, corrosion or peeling of the coating, and foreign matter or blockage in the 

3 holes. 

If necessary, replace the fuel pressure regulator.

INSTALLATION 

1. INSTALL FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR ASSEMBLY 

a. Apply a light coat of gasoline or spindle oil to the O-ring.

b. Attach the 2 claws to install the fuel pressure regulator.

2. INSTALL FUEL SUCTION WITH PUMP AND GAUGE TUBE ASSEMBLY 

a. Install the fuel suction with pump and gauge tube assembly (See INSTALLATION ).
