Back-up Light Switch

10.Back-up Light Switch

A: REMOVAL

1) Remove the manual transmission assembly
from vehicle. <Ref. to 6MT-34, REMOVAL, Manual
Transmission Assembly.>
2) Disconnect the back-up light switch connector.

3) Remove the back-up light switch.

B: INSTALLATION

1) Install the back-up light switch.

NOTE:
Use a new gasket.

Tightening torque:

32 N

m (3.3 kgf-m, 23.6 ft-lb)

2) Connect the back-up light switch connector.

3) Install the manual transmission assembly into
vehicle. <Ref. to 6MT-36, INSTALLATION, Manual
Transmission Assembly.>

Back-up Light Switch

C: INSPECTION

1) Disconnect the ground cable from battery.
2) Disconnect the transmission harness and chas-
sis harness.

3) Measure the resistance between back-up light
switch terminals. If it is not within specification, re-
place the back-up light switch.

Neutral Position Switch

11.Neutral Position Switch

A: REMOVAL

1) Remove the manual transmission assembly
from vehicle. <Ref. to 6MT-34, REMOVAL, Manual
Transmission Assembly.>
2) Disconnect the neutral position switch connector
and clip.

3) Remove the neutral position switch.

B: INSTALLATION

1) Install the neutral position switch.

NOTE:
Use a new gasket.

Tightening torque:

32 N

m (3.3 kgf-m, 23.6 ft-lb)

2) Connect the neutral position switch connector
and clip.

3) Install the manual transmission assembly into
vehicle. <Ref. to 6MT-36, INSTALLATION, Manual
Transmission Assembly.>

Neutral Position Switch

C: INSPECTION

1) Disconnect the ground cable from battery.
2) Disconnect the transmission harness and chas-
sis harness.

3) Measure the resistance between neutral posi-
tion switch terminals. If it is not within specification,
replace the neutral position switch.
