It switches off on changing to sequential mode. S. Sport (Sport function) Place your foot on the brake when this warning light flashes (e.g.: when starting the engine). Select position N. Press the brake pedal down fully. Start the engine. Select first gear (position M or A) or reverse (position R). Release the handbrake. Take your foot off the brake pedal, then accelerate. AUTO and 1 or R appear on the instrument panel display. Hill start assistance This is an additional function associated with this gearbox. It permits the tempo- rary immobilisation of your vehicle. It maintains the pressure of the brakes briefly, long enough for you to move your foot from the brake pedal to the accelerator pedal. It coms into operation if the vehicle is immobilised by pressing the brake ped- al and in accordance with the gradient: - on an ascending gradient, with the ve- hicle stationary, gear lever in position A or M, the vehicle is kept immobile briefly when the brake pedal is re- leased, - on a descending gradient, with the ve- hicle stationary, gear lever in position R, the vehicle is kept immobile briefly when the brake pedal is released. N appears on the instrument panel display. |
