REAR RH : Component Function Check

CHECK FUNCTION

1.

Use CONSULT-III to perform Active Test "DOOR LOCK".

2.

Touch “ALL LOCK” or “ALL UNLOCK” to check that it works normally.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> Door lock actuator is OK.

NO

>> Refer to 

DLK-229, "REAR RH : Diagnosis Procedure"

.

REAR RH : Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR SIGNAL

1.

Turn ignition switch OFF.

2.

Check voltage between BCM connector M20 terminals 65, 66
and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> GO TO 2.

NO

>> GO TO 3.

2.

CHECK DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR HARNESS

NOTE:
The passenger select unlock relay must remain connected during this test. 
1.

Disconnect BCM and rear door lock actuator RH.

2.

Check continuity between BCM connector (A) M20 terminals 65,
66 and rear door lock actuator RH connector (B) D305 terminals
1, 2. 

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> Replace rear door lock actuator RH.

NO

>> Repair or replace harness or passenger select unlock relay.

3.

CHECK DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR HARNESS

1.

Disconnect BCM and rear door lock actuator RH.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> Replace BCM. Refer to BCM REPLACEMENT.

NO

>> Repair or replace harness or passenger select unlock relay.

BACK DOOR

CHECK FUNCTION

1.

Use CONSULT-III to perform Active Test DOOR LOCK.

>> Replace door lock actuator.

NO

>> Repair or replace harness.

CHECK DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR HARNESS

1.

Disconnect BCM and back door lock actuator.

2.

Check continuity between BCM connector M20 terminals 65, 66
and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> Replace BCM. Refer to 

BCS-54, "Removal and Installation"

.

>> Repair or replace harness.

CHECK REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY RECEIVER OUTPUT SIGNAL

1.

Turn ignition switch OFF.

2.

Check remote keyless entry receiver signal with an oscilloscope.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

M120 terminal 4 and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> GO TO 3

NO

>> GO TO 4

REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY RECEIVER GROUND CIRCUIT INSPECTION

Check continuity between remote keyless entry receiver connector
M120 terminal 1 and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> Replace remote keyless entry receiver.

NO

>> GO TO 4

4.

HARNESS INSPECTION BETWEEN BCM AND RKE RECEIVER

1.

Disconnect remote keyless entry receiver and BCM connectors.

2.

Check continuity between BCM connector M18 terminals 18, 19,
20 and remote keyless entry receiver connector M120 terminals
1, 2, 4.

3.

Check continuity between remote keyless entry receiver con-
nector M120 terminals 1, 2, 4 and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> Replace remote keyless entry receiver.

NO

>> Repair or replace the harness between the remote keyless entry receiver and BCM.

: Approx. 5 volt.

CHECK KEYFOB BATTERY

Check by connecting a resistance (approximately 300

) so that the

current value becomes about 10 mA.

Is the measurement value within specification?

YES

>> GO TO 2. 

NO

>> Replace key fob battery.

2.

CHECK KEYFOB FUNCTION

Check keyfob function using Remote Keyless Entry Tester J-43241.
Does the test pass?

YES

>> Key fob is OK. 

NO

>> Replace key fob. Refer to CONSULT-III Operation Man-

ual.

Check horn function with horn switch

YES

NO

CHECK HORN RELAY POWER SUPPLY

1.

Turn ignition switch ON.

2.

Perform “ACTIVE TEST”, "HORN" with CONSULT-Ill.

3.

Using an oscilloscope or analog voltmeter, check voltage
between IPDM E/R connector E122 terminal 45 and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> GO TO 4.

NO

>> GO TO 3.

CHECK HORN RELAY CIRCUIT

1.

Turn ignition switch OFF.

2.

Disconnect IPDM E/R and horn relay connector.
