Wiper System

Raindrop Sensing Function

A function which utilizes a rain sensor to detect the volume of rain drops hitting the windshield
surface and operates the wiper blades at the optimum wiping interval is available as an option.
For example, when the wiper switch is in the AUTO position, the wipers operate automatically
when water splashed up by an oncoming vehicle suddenly hits the windshield, obstructing
visibility.

Washer System

Spray type Washer Nozzle

A spray-type washer nozzle has been
adopted. Washer fluid sprays over a wide
area, resulting in excellent wiping
performance. The volume of fluid delivered
to the center of the spray pattern that is
close to the driver’s field of vision has
been lessened, in consideration of
eliminating obstacles in the field of vision.
In addition, the amount of washer used in
one spray has been reduced to make
maintenance easier.

Air Conditioning System

The temperature settings of the automatic air conditioning system
for the driver’s side and front passenger’s side can be adjusted
separately.
Additionally, a clean air filter has been provided to enhance cruis-
ing comfort.

The front foot duct is a
distributed blowing type, to
improve the comfort of those
in the front seats. Air is
apportioned to outlets in
three directions so as to be
distributed to the inner and
outer leg area of driver and

at the rear end of the
console box, to improve the
comfort of the rear
passengers.

Air Conditioning Control Panel

The elegantly chrome plated air conditioning pan-
el incorporates large, easy-to-operate switches
and a large LCD display, in order to improve
ease of operation.
The panel is equipped with a security indicator,
seat belt warning indicator, and seat heater
switch*.

Clean Air Filter

A clean air filter, which not only removes the pollen and dust from the air, but also contains
a deodorizing function and a device that absorbs acetaldehyde, the origin of the bad smell
of diesel engine exhaust gas, has been adopted.

CRS (Child Restraint System) Anchor System

Two CRS lower anchorages
have been fitted to each of
the rear seats between the
seatback and cushion to en-
able the installation of a child
seat. In addition, CRS anchor
brackets have been set in the
package tray trim.

Seat Heater System

Optional heaters for the front seats are individually controlled for both the driver’s and front
passenger seats.

Power seat & Memory System

Power seats are provided for the driver’s
and front passenger seats.

Two desired positions for the outside
rear view mirrors and the driver’s seat
(except lumbar support position) can be
stored in the memory. These positions
can be returned to the stored position
at the touch of a switch located on the
door trim of the driver’s side. (Available
as an option)

Front Seat Headrest

The pivot point of the head-
rest has been moved higher.
The lower part of the head-
rest can be adjusted to fit
against the head to provide
greater comfort.

Rear Arm Rest & Trunk Storage Extension

The arm rest has been widened and fitted with
a large cup holder, in consideration of the comfort
of the rear passengers.

The arm rest door has been enlarged and the
usability of the trunk storage extension has been
improved. The arm rest door has been fitted with
an antitheft key cylinder.
