FRONT GRILLE

Component

Removal

1. Remove the front grille.

• Remove the front grille by pulling the fixing

screw at the center, the three (narrow cab) or
four (wide cab) clips which install cab panel,
and the four clips which install headlamp.

2. Remove the fixing clip (1).

• Open the clip (1) to remove it from cab panel

(2).

Installation

Install in the reverse order of removal.

STEP

Front Step (Except NPS Front Rigid Suspension Model)

Component

Removal

1. Headlamp lower cover

• Pull the mating part of clip to remove it.

2. Front combination lamp
3. Front door check arm pin

• Expand the notch on the tip of pin to remove,

and tap the pin from the bottom with a plastic
hammer.

4. Check arm bracket

• Remove the 2 mounting bolts on the door side.

5. Front step assembly

• Remove the 3 mounting bolts, 2 screws and a

clip.

Installation

For installation, reverse the removal procedure taking
the following points into consideration.

1. Tighten the mounting bolt of front step assembly to

the specified torque.

Tighten:
Mounting bolt to 15 N

⋅m (1.5 kg⋅m/11.1 lb⋅ft)

2. Tighten the mounting bolt of check arm bracket to

the specified torque.

Tighten:
Mounting bolt to 25 N

⋅m (2.5 kg⋅m/18.4 lb⋅ft)

3. Make sure that the clip gets caught the tip of check

arm pin securely.

Component

Removal

1. Lower step plate

• Remove the 5 mounting bolts.

2. Lower step rod

• Remove the 2 mounting nuts.

3. Headlamp lower cover

• Pull the mating part of clip to remove it.

4. Front combination lamp
5. Front door check arm pin

• Expand the notch on the tip of pin to remove,

and tap the pin from the bottom with a plastic
hammer.

6. Front step assembly

• Remove the 3 mounting bolts, 2 screws and a

clip.

7. Step plate

• Remove 5 mounting bolts.
