INSTALLATION

NOTE

• In case of the windshield with reflection layer

which reflects the infrared rays in sensing field,
should install the rain sensor into the field re-
moved the reflection layer.

• Install the rain sensor after some time and be

care not to be settled the dust after installation.

1.

Install the rainsensor bracket to the windshield glass
using the tape.

CAUTION

It is very important that the coupling pad pushes
the windshield completely to stick to each other
without bubbles.

2.

Connect the rainsensor connector, and then install the
sensor cover.

REAR WIPER AND NOZZEL

1.

Install the rear wiper arm and blade to the specified
position.

Distance

0.059 ± 0.2 in (15 ± 5 mm)

※ Specified position : The first deicer line from bottom
of the rear window.

Set the rear washer nozzle on the specified spray po-
sition.

REAR WIPER MOTOR

1.

Remove the 4P connector from the rear wiper motor.

2.

Connect battery positive (+) and negative (-) cables to
terminals 3 and 4 respectively.

3.

Check that the motor operates normally. Replace the
motor if it operates abnormally.

1. IGN +
2. Parking
3. Switch
4. Ground

AUTOMATIC STOP OPERATION CHECK

1.

Operate the motor at low speed using the stalk con-
trol.

2.

Stop the motor operation anywhere except at the off
position by disconnecting terminal 3.

3.

Connect terminals 2 and 3.

4.

Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to ter-
minal 1 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 4.

5.

Check that the motor stops running at the off position.

REPLACEMENT

1.

Detach the wiper cap (A), then remove the rear wiper
arm (C) after removing a nut (B).

Tightening torque Nut(B) :
14~17 Nm (1.4~1.7 kgf.m, 10.1~12.3 lbf.ft)

2.

Remove the rear wiper cap ＆ pad (B) after removing
a nut (A).

Tightening torque Nut (A) :
10~13 Nm (1.0~1.3 kgf.m, 7.2~9.4 lbf.ft)

3.

Open the tailgate glass then remove the tailgate trim.

4.

Disconnect the rear wiper motor connector then re-
move the rear wiper motor (B) after removing 3 bolts.

Tightening torque Nut :
14~17 Nm (1.4~1.7 kgf.m, 10.1~12.3 lbf.ft)

5.

Installation is the reverse of removal.
