3. Install the battery hold down retainer and bolt. 

Tighten: Tighten the battery hold down retainer bolt to 25 N.m (18 lb ft). 

4. Connect the positive battery cable. 

Tighten: Tighten the positive battery cable bolt to 17 N.m (13 lb ft).

5. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure 

(Single Battery) .  

BATTERY TRAY REPLACEMENT 

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the battery. Refer to Battery Replacement .  

2. Remove the bolts from the battery tray support.

3. Remove the battery tray.

1. Install the battery tray. 

Install the bolts to the battery tray support until snug.

NOTE:

Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices

2. Tighten the battery tray bolts. 

Tighten: Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in). 

3. Install the battery. Refer to Battery Replacement .  

GROUND STRAP REPLACEMENT 

Removal Procedure 

1. Remove the left hand catalytic convert. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement (Right Hand) in 

Engine Exhaust.
