2. Remove the polyurethane (PU) adhesive cap and 

heat the PU adhesive for a minimum of 30 
minutes.

From outside the vehicle, cut the PU 
adhesive.

Installation 

1.

CAUTION: Primer must not be applied to 

the glass roof panel blind retaining hooks.  
NOTE: This step is only necessary when 
installing a new component. 
NOTE: Make sure that the mating faces are 
clean and free of foreign material. 
NOTE: Touching the adhesive surface will 
impair rebonding. 

Prepare the glass roof panel and glass roof panel 
blind retaining hooks in accordance with the 
instructions supplied with the PU adhesive kit.

2. Place the glass roof panel on a clean surface with 

the blind retaining hooks facing upwards and 
allow the adhesive to cure in accordance with the 
manufacturers instructions.

NOTE: Make sure that these components are 
installed to the noted removal position.

NOTE: Minimum 1 mm bead thickness.

NOTE: Discard the first 100 mm of adhesive 
as this may have a reduced working time. 
NOTE: Make sure that any breakage in the 
continuous bead of adhesive is overlapped by 
20 mm.

NOTE: This step requires the aid of another 
technician. 

Press firmly and evenly into position.

Using tape, secure the glass roof panel in 
the correct position until the PU adhesive 
has cured.  

7. If the ambient temperature falls below 10°C, 

apply warm air (25°C) continuously for 15 
minutes.
