Installation 

1. Remove the catalytic converter. 

Refer to: 

Catalytic Converter

 (309-00D Exhaust 

System - 1.8L Duratorq-TDCi (74kW/100PS) - 
Lynx/1.8L Duratorq-TDCi (92kW/125PS) - Lynx, 
Removal and Installation).

NOTE: Note the position of the component 
before removal. 

1. Discard the nut. 

Torque: 

18 Nm 

2. Torque: 23 Nm 
3. Torque: 20 Nm 

1.

CAUTION: A new component may be 

supplied with a longer cable than the one 
removed. Make sure that the cable cannot be 
damaged or cause a noise, vibration or 
harshness (NVH) concern. 
NOTE: Make sure that the sensor is installed 
in the same location as when removed. 
NOTE: Make sure that a new component is 
installed. 

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
