Is any voltage present?
Yes

REPAIR circuit CCB20A (BU/WH), or circuit CCB21A
(GN/VT), or circuit CCB22A (WH/BN), or circuit
CCB23A (VT/GN), or circuit CCB24A (WH/OG), or
circuit CCB24A (WH/OG). REPEAT the self-test,
CLEAR the DTCs.

GO to Y2

Y2: CHECK THE EPB SWITCH CIRCUITS FOR A SHORT TO GROUND

Ignition switch in position 0.

Measure the resistance between the:

EPB module C4CB01 pin 9, circuit CCB23A
(VT/GN), harness side and ground.
EPB module C4CB01 pin 10, circuit CCB25A (BN),
harness side and ground.
EPB module C4CB01 pin 11, circuit CCB21A
(GN/VT), harness side and ground.
EPB module C4CB01 pin 18, circuit CCB22A
(WH/BN), harness side and ground.
EPB module C4CB01 pin 19, circuit CCB24A
(WH/OG), harness side and ground.
EPB module C4CB01 pin 20, circuit CCB20A
(BU/WH), harness side and ground.

Are the resistances greater than 10,000 ohms?
Yes

GO to Y3

Y3: CHECK THE EPB SWITCH CIRCUITS FOR AN OPEN CIRCUIT

Measure the resistance between the:

EPB module C4CB01 pin 9, circuit CCB23A
(VT/GN), harness side and the EPB Switch C3CB09
pin 4, circuit CCB23B (VT/GN), harness side.
EPB module C4CB01 pin 10, circuit CCB25A (BN),
harness side and the EPB Switch C3CB09 pin 5,
circuit CCB25B (BN), harness side.
EPB module C4CB01 pin 11, circuit CCB21A
(GN/VT), harness side and the EPB Switch C3CB09
pin 8, circuit CCB21B (GN/VT), harness side.
EPB module C4CB01 pin 18, circuit CCB22A
(WH/BN), harness side and the EPB Switch C3CB09
pin 7, circuit CCB22B (WH/BN), harness side.
EPB module C4CB01 pin 19, circuit CCB24A
(WH/OG), harness side and the EPB Switch
C3CB09 pin 6, circuit CCB24B (WH/OG), harness
side.
EPB module C4CB01 pin 20, circuit CCB20A
(BU/WH), harness side and the EPB Switch C3CB09
pin 3, circuit CCB20B (BU/WH), harness side.

Are the resistances less than 5 ohms?
Yes

Y4: CHECK THE EPB SWITCH CIRCUITS FOR A CROSS LINK TO ANOTHER CIRCUIT

Measure the resistance between the:

EPB module C4CB01 pin 9, circuit CCB23A
(VT/GN), harness side and the EPB module C4CB01
pin 10, circuit CCB25A (BN).
EPB module C4CB01 pin 9, circuit CCB23A
(VT/GN), harness side and the EPB module C4CB01
pin 11, circuit CCB21A (GN/VT), harness side.
EPB module C4CB01 pin 9, circuit CCB23A
(VT/GN), harness side and the EPB module C4CB01
pin 18, circuit CCB22A (WH/BN), harness side.
EPB module C4CB01 pin 9, circuit CCB23A
(VT/GN), harness side and the EPB module C4CB01
pin 19, circuit CCB24A (WH/OG), harness side.
EPB module C4CB01 pin 9, circuit CCB23A
(VT/GN), harness side and the EPB module C4CB01
pin 20, circuit CCB20A (BU/WH), harness side.

Are the resistances greater than 10,000 ohms?
Yes

GO to Y5

REPAIR circuit CCB23A (VT/GN) and circuit CCB20A
(BU/WH), or circuit CCB21A (GN/VT), or circuit
CCB22A (WH/BN), or circuit CCB24A (WH/OG), or
circuit CCB25A (BN). REPEAT the self-test, CLEAR the
DTCs.

Y5: CHECK THE EPB SWITCH CIRCUITS FOR A CROSS LINK TO ANOTHER CIRCUIT

Measure the resistance between the:

EPB module C4CB01 pin 10, circuit CCB25A (BN),
harness side and the EPB module C4CB01 pin 11,
circuit CCB21A (GN/VT), harness side.
EPB module C4CB01 pin 10, circuit CCB25A (BN),
harness side and the EPB module C4CB01 pin 18,
circuit CCB22A (WH/BN), harness side.
EPB module C4CB01 pin 10, circuit CCB25A (BN),
harness side and the EPB module C4CB01 pin 19,
circuit CCB24A (WH/OG), harness side.
EPB module C4CB01 pin 10, circuit CCB25A (BN),
harness side and the EPB module C4CB01 pin 20,
circuit CCB20A (BU/WH), harness side.

Are the resistances greater than 10,000 ohms?
Yes

GO to Y6

REPAIR circuit CCB25A (BN), circuit CCB20A
(BU/WH), or circuit CCB21A (GN/VT), or circuit
CCB22A (WH/BN), or circuit CCB24A (WH/OG).
REPEAT the self-test, CLEAR the DTCs.

Y6: CHECK THE EPB SWITCH CIRCUITS FOR A CROSS LINK TO ANOTHER CIRCUIT

Measure the resistance between the:

EPB module C4CB01 pin 11, circuit CCB21A
(GN/VT), harness side and the EPB module C4CB01
pin 18, circuit CCB22A (WH/BN), harness side.
EPB module C4CB01 pin 11, circuit CCB21A
(GN/VT), harness side and the EPB module C4CB01
pin 19, circuit CCB24A (WH/OG), harness side.
EPB module C4CB01 pin 11, circuit CCB21A
(GN/VT), harness side and the EPB module C4CB01
pin 20, circuit CCB20A (BU/WH), harness side.

Are the resistances greater than 10,000 ohms?
Yes

GO to Y7

REPAIR circuit CCB21A (GN/VT) and circuit CCB20A
(BU/WH), or circuit CCB22A (WH/BN), or circuit
CCB24A (WH/OG). REPEAT the self-test, CLEAR the
DTCs.

Y7: CHECK THE EPB SWITCH CIRCUITS FOR A CROSS LINK TO ANOTHER CIRCUIT

Measure the resistance between the:

EPB module C4CB01 pin 18, circuit CCB22A
(WH/BN), harness side and the EPB module
C4CB01 pin 19, circuit CCB24A (WH/OG), harness
side.
EPB module C4CB01 pin 18, circuit CCB22A
(WH/BN), harness side and the EPB module
C4CB01 pin 20, circuit CCB20A (BU/WH), harness
side.

Are the resistances greater than 10,000 ohms?
Yes

GO to Y8

REPAIR circuit CCB22A (WH/BN) and circuit CCB20A
(BU/WH) or circuit CCB24A (WH/OG). REPEAT the
self-test, CLEAR the DTCs.

Y8: CHECK THE EPB SWITCH CIRCUITS FOR A CROSS LINK TO ANOTHER CIRCUIT

Measure the resistance between the EPB module
C4CB01 pin 19, circuit CCB24A (WH/OG), harness

side and the EPB module C4CB01 pin 20, circuit
CCB20A (BU/WH), harness side.

Is the resistance greater than 10,000 ohms?
Yes

REFER to:

Parking Brake Switch - Vehicles With:

Electronic Parking Brake (EPB)

(206-05 Parking Brake

and Actuation, Removal and Installation).

REPAIR circuit CCB20A (BU/WH) and circuit CCB24A
(WH/OG). REPEAT the self-test, CLEAR the DTCs.

PINPOINT TEST Z : DTC U2016.05: CONTROL MODULE MAIN SOFTWARE

Z1: CHECK THE BATTERY VOLTAGE

Check the battery voltage.

Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?
Yes

REPEAT the self-test, CLEAR the DTCs. If the DTC remains, INSTALL a
new EPB module.
REFER to: Parking Brake Module (206-05 Parking Brake and Actuation,
Removal and Installation).
REPEAT the self-test, CLEAR the DTCs.

Check the charging system.
REFER to: Charging System (414-00 Charging System - General
Information, Diagnosis and Testing).
REPEAT the self-test, CLEAR the DTCs.

PINPOINT TEST AA : DTC U3000.13: CONTROL MODULE

TEST CONDITIONS

AA1: CHECK THE EPB MODULE GROUND CIRCUIT

Disconnect EPB Module C4CB01.

Measure the resistance between the:

EPB module C4CB01 pin 28, circuit GD147B
(BK/VT), harness side and ground.
EPB module C4CB01 pin 30, circuit GD147A
(BK/VT), harness side and ground.

Are the resistances less than 2 ohms?
Yes

GO to AA2

REPAIR circuit GD147A (BK/VT) or circuit GD147B
(BK/VT). REPEAT the self-test, CLEAR the DTCs.

AA2: CHECK THE EPB MODULE MOTOR SUPPLY VOLTAGE

Ignition switch in position II.

Measure the voltage between the:

EPB module C4CB01 pin 13, circuit C_SBR03A
(BU/RD), harness side and ground.
EPB module C4CB01 pin 15, circuit C_SBR02A
(YE/RD), harness side and ground.

Are the voltages greater than 10 volts?
Yes

GO to AA3

REPAIR circuit C_SBR02A (YE/RD) or circuit
C_SBR03A (BU/RD). REPEAT the self-test, CLEAR the
DTCs.

AA3: CHECK THE EPB MODULE MOTOR SUPPLY CIRCUIT
