the ignition key to avoid the risk of injury

due to accidental operation of the electric

windows.

BONNET

Opening

Proceed as follows:

pull the lever (A) fig. 75 in the

direction indicated by the arrow;

operate the lever (B) fig. 76, lift the

bonnet and at the same time release

the support rod (C) fig. 77 from its

catch (D), then insert the rod end into

the recess E of the bonnet (large hole)

and push into the safe position (small

hole), as shown in the figure.

Closing

Proceed as follows:

Hold the bonnet up with one hand

and with the other remove rod (C) from

recess (E) and fit it back into its catch

(D);

Lower the bonnet to approximately

20 centimetres above the engine

compartment and let it come down.

Make sure that the bonnet is

completely closed and not just secured

in safety position. If it is not perfectly

closed, do not try to press the bonnet

down but open it and repeat the

procedure.

The bonnet may drop suddenly if the

supporting rod is not positioned correctly.

Only perform these operations when the

vehicle is stationary.

sure that windscreen wiper arm is not

Be careful working inside engine

compartment when the engine is hot to

avoid burning yourself. Do not place your

hands near the engine fan as it may be

activated even when the key is removed.

Wait until the engine has cooled.

Be very careful not to allow scarves,

neckties and other loose articles of

clothing from touching, even accidentally,

any moving parts. This may cause the

clothing to be pulled into the part, resulting

in serious injury to the wearer.

For safety reasons, the bonnet

must always be properly closed while

driving. Make sure that the bonnet is

properly closed and that the lock is

engaged. If you notice when driving that

the bonnet has not been properly locked,

stop immediately and close the bonnet

correctly.

OPENING/CLOSING THE

TAILGATE FROM THE

OUTSIDE

The tailgate (when unlocked) can only

be opened from the outside of the car

using the electric opening handle (A)

fig. 78 located under the handle. The

tailgate can be opened at any time if

the doors are unlocked.
To open it the handle must be enabled

by opening the driver side front door or

operating the remote control unlocking

button (for Doblò/Doblò Combi

versions).
On Cargo versions, the opening of the

tailgate is subject to the enabling of the

handle.

or by operating the unlocking button

from the interior of the vehicle. Opening

can also take place by using the

mechanical key or the metal insert of

the remote control key in the driver side

door pawl.

In the event of an emergency, you can

open the boot from inside the vehicle

as follows:

open the sliding side door and lower

the backrest of the rear seat to give

you access to the load compartment

(Doblò/Doblò Combi versions);
or

open the sliding side door (Cargo

versions);

use device (A) fig. 81 located on the

inside of the right-hand swing door;

open the left-hand swing door by

pulling the handle (see "Doors" in this

section).

REMOVING THE PARCEL

SHELF

The parcel shelf consists of two parts.
To remove it completely, proceed as

follows:

open the rear wing door; raise the

front part (A) fig. 82, unhooking pin (A)

fig. 83 from its housing

raise rear part (B) fig. 82, unhooking

pins (B) and (C) fig. 83 from their

housings.
If the seat is completely folded down,

remove the parcel shelf as described

and store it horizontally between the

back of the front seats and the folded

rear seat.
To refit the parcel shelf, follow the same

procedure in reverse.

LUGGAGE-COVERING

CURTAIN

The luggage cover blind (A) fig. 84 can

be rolled up and removed.

Rolling up the blind:

grip the handle

(C) fig. 84 and then release the pins

(B) fig. 85 (one on each side) from the

respective housings.
Then ease the blind towards the front

part of the luggage compartment.

Removing the blind:

roll up the blind

then pull the two hooks (D) fig. 86 (one

on each side) towards the inside of the

boot. Then raise the curtain upwards

and remove it.

EXTENDING THE BOOT

Versions with lever

Proceed as follows:

open the rear doors and remove the

parcel shelf (as described previously);

completely lower the rear seat head

restraints;

move the seat belt to the side,

making sure that it is fully extended and

not twisted;

lift backrest retainer lever (A) fig. 87

and fold the backrest forwards to

obtain a flat loading area. When you lift

the lever, you will see a red band.

to widen the load compartment

further, lift lever (B) fig. 88 on the side of

the cushion that will raise automatically;

intervene manually to fold seat and

Versions with tape

Lift the tape (B) fig. 90 placed by the

side of the cushion to release it;

then lift the cushion manually and

fold the seat and backrest all back

Both systems will be present on

vehicles with split rear seat. The tape

will be present on the smaller seat

portion and the lever will be present on

the larger seat portion.
Proceed as described above to fold

these seats. On versions with backrest

folded down and parcel shelf folded

down (for versions/markets, where

provided) a load compartment can be

created fig. 91.

If you are travelling in areas with few

filling stations and you want to transport

fuel in a spare tank, comply with the law by

using only an approved, suitably secured

tank. In the event of a collision the fire risk

is increased all the same.

Never exceed the maximum allowed

load in the luggage compartment, see

chapter "Technical specifications". Also

make sure that the objects you place in the

luggage compartment have been properly

secured, to avoid them from being thrown

forward consequent to sudden braking

and injuring your passengers.

You must not use the folded rear

seat to carry luggage. The load could

be thrown forward into the backrest of

the front seats, seriously injuring the

occupants.

Make sure that the objects are

positioned carefully and secured to the

hooks on the floor to prevent them flung

forwards in the event of sharp braking and

causing injury to the passengers.

In the event of an accident or sharp

braking, any object placed on the curtain

may be projected into the passenger

compartment, and risk hurting the

must therefore be realigned in this

INTRODUCTION

The Fiat Doblò Natural Power version

features two fuel supply systems, one

for petrol and one for natural gas

(methane).

Selecting the type of fuel supply

Fiat Doblò Natural Power is configured

to run normally on methane.
When the methane is running out and

the pressure in the cylinder is close

to the correct operating limit, the

system automatically switches to petrol

operation.

The engine always starts up on petrol,

with automatic switching to methane

when the best conditions are achieved

(engine water temperature, minimum

engine rpm limit) for switching to

methane.
Therefore, there must always be some

petrol in the tank (at least 1/4 full), in

order not to compromise the operation

of the fuel pump.

For this reason there must always

be petrol in the tank.

The petrol/methane switch fig. 96,

amongst the controls in the dashboard,

makes it possible to select petrol

operation. The system does not switch

automatically to methane operation if

the petrol runs out.

WARNING If gas is smelled, switch

from methane operation to petrol

operation and immediately go to a Fiat

Dealership to have the vehicle checked

and possible system faults excluded.

METHANE CYLINDERS

The vehicle is provided with 4 cylinders

with a capacity of 95 litres; for the

Cargo Maxi version (long wheelbase), a
5th cylinder is available as an optional,

increasing the capacity to 130 litres.
The cylinders are all located under the

floor and protected by special guards.
The cylinders fig. 97, fig. 98 and fig. 99

are the tank that contains the methane

in a compressed gaseous state (rated

pressure of 200 bar at 15

°

C).

Canister capacity:

Short wheelbase versions: approx.

16.15 kg

Long wheelbase versions: approx.

22.1 kg.
The amount of methane depends on

the outside temperature, the supply

pressure, the quality of the gas and

the type of refuelling system. Overall

cylinder volume approximately 95 litres

litres (long wheelbase versions).

Cylinder certification

The methane cylinders are certified in

accordance with ECE Regulation no.

110.
The cylinders must be inspected, in

accordance with ECE Regulation

Procedure no. 110, every 4 years from

the vehicle registration date or in

accordance with specific regulations in

individual countries.

PETROL/METHANE

SWITCH

This engine normally runs on methane

except during starting when it runs on

petrol. Switching to methane takes

place automatically and is shown

on the instrument panel display by

switching off the

signal in the

display.

Methane fuel reserve

The level of methane in the cylinders is

indicated by the four vertical bars near

the word CNG on the instrument panel

display fig. 100.
When the residual amount of methane

is lower than 1/5 of the capacity of

the cylinders, the first level and the

edges of the bars of the other 3 levels

flash until the next methane refuelling.

A specific message will appear on

the display in addition to an acoustic

warning.

If the methane has run out, switching to

petrol takes place automatically:

for Euro 5 versions: on the

instrument panel display, first level plus

edges of the bars of the other three

levels keep blinking and the indicator

lights up near the CNG icon.

for Euro 6 versions: on the display, all

the empty segments stop flashing and

then the

indicator near the CNG icon

turns on.

If you specifically wish to run on petrol,

press the dedicated button fig. 96

located on the central tunnel.
The LED on the button switching on

indicates that the request for switching

has taken place correctly.
The actual change to the chosen fuel

system takes place depending on the

vehicle usage conditions to guarantee

switching in absolute safety and will

be confirmed by the

warning light

in the instrument panel display coming

on/going off.
In addition, in the case of starting at

outside temperatures of below around

-10

°

C, the switching times from Petrol

to Methane increase to allow the

pressure regulator/reduction unit to

become warm enough.

WARNING If switching takes place

during acceleration or pick-up, there

may be a brief flat spot (drop in power).

The Fiat Doblò Natural Power version

is equipped with a high pressure methane

system designed to run at a rated

pressure of 200 bar. It is dangerous to

stretch the system with higher pressures.

To prevent damage to the methane

system parts when towing or lifting the

vehicle, follow the instructions in the main

handbook in the chapter: "Towing the

vehicle". If there is a problem with the

methane system, only contact a Fiat

Dealership. Do not alter the methane

system configuration or components.

They are designed exclusively for the Fiat

Qubo Natural Power. The use of other

components or materials could cause

malfunctions and prejudice safety.

When oven painting, the cylinders

must be removed from the vehicle and

refitted by a Fiat Dealership. Although the

methane system has numerous safety

features, it is advisable to close the

manual tap on the cylinders whenever the

vehicle is not in use for a long period,

transported on other vehicles or moved in

an emergency as a result of a breakdown

or accident.

If gas is smelt, switch from methane

operation to petrol operation and

immediately go to a Fiat Dealerships to

have the vehicle checked and possible

system faults supply excluded.

Regardless of the last fuel system

used, at the following engine starting,

after the initial petrol stage, the system will

automatically switch to methane.

At the time of the switching request

there will be a metallic noise from the

valves which are pressurising the circuit

(more obvious with the ignition key in the

MAR-ON position). For the switching logic

described above, a delay between the

valve ticking and the switching off of the

instrument panel indication is completely

normal.

Do not switch between the two

operating modes whilst starting the

engine.

means start of a new journey).

This begins after a reset:

"manual" resetting by the user, by

pressing the relevant button;

"automatic" resetting, when the "trip

distance" reaches 9999.9 km or when

the "trip time" reaches 999:59 (999

hours and 59 minutes);

after disconnection/reconnection of

WARNING The reset operation when

"Trip A" or "Trip B" details are being

displayed resets the information
