Symptom: DOME SWITCH INPUT SHORT When Monitored and Set Condition: DOME SWITCH INPUT SHORT When Monitored: Continuously Set Condition: When the input voltage is less than 0.2 volts for over 10 seconds. POSSIBLE CAUSES INTERMITTENT CONDITION PANEL LAMPS DIMMER SIGNAL CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH BODY CONTROL MODULE TEST ACTION APPLICABILITY 1 Turn the ignition on. t, clear all BCM DTC’s. Turn the Dome Lamps on. t, read the DTC information. Does the DRBIII t display: Dome Switch Input Short? All Yes → Go To 2 No → The condition that caused the symptom is currently not present. Inspect the related wiring for a possible intermittent condition. 2 Turn the ignition off. All Yes → Repair the Panel Lamps Dimmer Signal Circuit for a short to ground. No → Go To 3 3 Turn the ignition off. All Yes → Replace the Multifunction Switch. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. No → Replace the Body Control Module. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. 289 INTERIOR LIGHTING |
