DOOR OUTER BELT
WEATHERSTRIP
REMOVAL
(1) Remove the door glass. (Refer to 23 - BODY/
DOOR - FRONT/DOOR GLASS - REMOVAL)
(2) Remove the screws and remove the weather
strip. (Fig. 2)
INSTALLATION
(1) Install the weather strip and install the screws.
(2) Install the door glass. (Refer to 23 - BODY/
DOOR - FRONT/DOOR GLASS - INSTALLATION)
DOOR SECONDARY SEAL
WEATHERSTRIP
REMOVAL
(1) Remove the two rear push pin fasteners. (Fig.
3)
(2) Separate the weatherstrip push pin fasteners
and remove.
INSTALLATION
(1) Position the weatherstrip and install the rear
upper push pin fasteners.
(2) Starting at the rear, seat the remaining push
pin fasteners fully.
(3) Remove the protective tape at the front and
firmly seat the weatherstrip to the door.
WINDSHIELD HEADER &
A-PILLAR WEATHERSTRIP
REMOVAL
(1) Remove the a-pillar trim. (Refer to 23 - BODY/
INTERIOR/A-PILLAR TRIM - REMOVAL)
(2) Remove the nuts and push pins.
(3) Remove the weatherstrip. (Fig. 4)
INSTALLATION
(1) Clean the header with a suitable cleaner.
(2) Install the weatherstrip making sure a tight
joint to the primary weatherstrip exists.
(3) Install the weatherstrip push pins and the nuts
and tighten the nuts to 6 N·m (55 in. lbs.).
(4) Install the a-pillar trim. (Refer to 23 - BODY/
INTERIOR/A-PILLAR TRIM - INSTALLATION)
SIDE RAIL WEATHERSTRIP
REMOVAL
(1) Remove the weatherstrips and clean off the
adhesive with a suitable cleaner. (Fig. 5)
INSTALLATION
(1) Unlatch and partially lower the convertible top.
(2) Clean the ends of the retainer with suitable
cleaner.
(3) Install the weatherstrips in the correct posi-
tion.
