(5) Install the screw attaching the rear of the

quarter panel to the trunk pan and tighten to 6 N·m
(55 in. lbs.).

(6) Install the adjustment bracket screw.
(7) Install the lower quarter panel screw in the

front through the hole cut into the door surround
panel and install a standard body plug.

(8) Install the door opening weatherstrip.
(9) Install the three fascia to the quarter panel

nuts and tighten to 6 N·m (55 in lbs.).

(10) Close the door and check the quarter panel for

gap and flush, adjust if necessary. (Refer to 23 -
BODY/BODY

(11) Install the tail lamp unit. (Refer to 8 - ELEC-

TRICAL/LAMPS/LIGHTING

(12) For the right side quarter panel, connect the

fuel filler tube. (Refer to 14 - FUEL SYSTEM/FUEL
DELIVERY/FUEL TANK FILLER TUBE - INSTAL-
LATION)

(13) Install the rear wheelhouse splash shield.

(Refer to 23 - BODY/EXTERIOR/REAR WHEEL-
HOUSE SPLASH SHIELD - INSTALLATION)

(14) Install the sill panel. (Refer to 23 - BODY/EX-

TERIOR/ROCKER PANEL COVER - INSTALLA-
TION)

REAR WHEELHOUSE SPLASH
SHIELD

REMOVAL

(1) Remove the rear wheel. (Refer to 22 - TIRES/

WHEELS - REMOVAL)

(2) Remove the 11 rear shield screws and remove

the rear shield. (Fig. 15)

(3) Remove the five front shield screws and remove

the front shield.

INSTALLATION

(1) Position the front shield onto the vehicle and

install outside screws loosely.

(2) Position the rear shield onto the vehicle.
(3) Loosely install the remaining screws.
(4) Tighten the five screws attaching the two

shields together then tighten the remaining 11
screws.

SILL PANEL

REMOVAL

(1) Remove the three screws and remove the door

hinge cover. (Fig. 16)

(2) Remove the screws attaching the fender grille

to the fender and the sill.

(3) Remove the seven lower sill screws. (Fig. 17)
(4) Remove the three front wheelhouse splash

shield screws.

(5) Remove the rear screw into the frame near the

quarter panel.

(6) Remove the screws into the door surround

panel. (Fig. 18)

(7) Loosen the sill to fender support nuts.
(8) Remove the sill.

INSTALLATION

(1) Position the sill onto the vehicle.
(2) Tighten the sill to fender support nuts.
(3) Install the screws into the door surround panel.
(4) Install the rear screw into the frame near the

quarter panel.

(5) Install the three front wheelhouse splash shield

screws.

(6) Install the seven lower sill screws.
(7) Install the fender grille and install the upper

screw attaching the grille to the fender.

(8) Install the lower grille screw at the sill.
(9) Install the door hinge cover and install the

three screws to the fender.
