(12) Remove the fuel injector from the fuel rail (Fig. 11). INSTALLATION (1) Install the fuel injectors to the fuel rail. O-ring on the nozzle end of each injector. (4) Insert fuel injector nozzles into openings in intake manifold. Seat the injectors in place. Tighten (5) Attach electrical connectors to fuel injectors (Fig. 7). (6) Connect the electrical connector to the MAP sensor and Coolant Temperature sensor (Fig. 4). (7) Connect the electrical connector to the TPS and Idle Air Control (Fig. 5). (8) Install the wiring harness to the wiring clips under the throttle body (Fig. 6). (9) Connect fuel supply tube to fuel rail (Fig. 7). Refer to Quick Connect Fittings in the Fuel Delivery (10) Install the negative battery cable and install the battery cover. (11) Install the air cleaner assembly, refer to the Engine/Air Intake System/Air Cleaner Housing for (12) Use the DRBIII t scan tool ASD Fuel System Test to pressurize the fuel system. Check for leaks. FUEL PUMP RELAY DESCRIPTION The relay is located in the PDC. Check electrical terminals for corrosion and repair as necessary. OPERATION The fuel pump relay supplies battery voltage to the fuel pump. A buss bar in the Power Distribution Cen- The PCM controls the fuel pump relay by switch- ing the ground path for the solenoid side of the relay IDLE AIR CONTROL MOTOR DESCRIPTION The idle air control motor is mounted at the front right of the intake manifold (Fig. 12).
