(4) To disengage latching devise, rock latching

devise rearward and install a rod into the hole to
support latching devise in the open position (Fig.
202).

(5) With both latches in the open position the seat

may be removed (Fig. 203).

(6) Remove latches, if necessary. Remove attaching

bolts and remove latch (Fig. 204).

INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

(1) Place rear seat back into position in vehicle

(Fig. 199).

(2) Push seat downward to engage hooks.

INSTALLATION — PT-27 ONLY

(1) Install latches, if necessary. Place latch(s) into

position and install attaching bolts. Tighten bolts to
12.5 N·m (110 in. lbs.) (Fig. 205).

(2) Ensure latches are in the open position. With a

rod into the hole to support latching devise in the
open position (Fig. 206).

(3) Insert rear seat(s) into position and remove

rods (Fig. 207).

(4) Install latch covers. (Refer to 23 - BODY/

SEATS/REAR SEAT LATCH COVERS - INSTALLA-
TION).

(5) With rear seat(s) in the upright position install

screws attaching check strap(s) (Fig. 208).

(6) Place rear seat back into position (Fig. 209).

(1) Remove seat from vehicle.
(2) Remove seat cushion side shields.
(3) Remove bolts attaching recliner to seat back

cushion frame.

(4) Remove inboard pivot bolt.
(5) Remove seat back from seat cushion.

REMOVAL - PT-27 ONLY

(1) Remove seat from vehicle. (Refer to 23 - BODY/

SEATS/REAR SEAT - REMOVAL).

(2) Remove rubber bumper (Fig. 210).

(3) Remove seat cushion side shields (Fig. 211) and

(Fig. 212).

(4) Remove inboard pivot bolt (Fig. 213).
(5) Remove seat back from seat cushion.

INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

(1) Position seat back on cushion.
(2) Install inboard pivot bolt. Tighten bolt to 40

N·m (30 ft. lbs.) torque.

(3) Install bolts attaching recliner to seat cushion

frame. Tighten bolts to 12 N·m (9 ft. lbs.) torque.

(4) Install rear seat cushion side shields.
(5) Install seat in vehicle.

INSTALLATION - PT-27 ONLY

(1) Place seat back into position on the seat cush-

ion.

(2) Install inboard pivot bolt (Fig. 214).

(3) Remove seat cushion side shields (Fig. 215) and

(Fig. 216).
