tools can be used to clear the
troubleshooting code.
(2) If the troubleshooting code does not
appear for 100 driving cycles running, it
can be eliminated from the database.

5. Assistance to troubleshooting

The connection between the EBCM and
BPMV shall be reliable, fast and free of
corrosion, leakage and/or damage. As the
solenoid coil is an integral part of the
EBCM, any troubleshooting code setup
usually indicates internal fault of EBCM.

6. Diagnostic steps

Step Diagnostic

action

Expected
value

Yes No

If the checking of diagnostic circuit has been
finished

To Step 2  To Step 5

1. Shut off engine;
2. Check if the EBCM and BPMV suffer any
damage;
Is there any physical damage?

To Step 6  To Step 3

1. Detach the EBCM wire harness from the
EBCM;
2. Dismantle the EBCM from the BPMV.
3. Check if the EBCM and BPMV suffer any
fluid leakage, corrosion and damage.
Is there any fluid leakage, corrosion and
damage discovered?

To Step 7  To Step 4

1. Install the scanning device;
2. Ignite when the engine is turned off;
3. Clear the troubleshooting code with the
scanning device
4. Operate the car by running the
troubleshooting code;
Is the troubleshooting code reset to be the
current troubleshooting code?

To Step 7  To Step 5 in

the case of
intermittent
troubles

Check the diagnostic circuit.
Is there any trouble?

1. Description of circuit
This troubleshooting code is used to
determine the open circuit of parking lamp
circuit. The EBCM sends to the rear brake
lamp a low sensor voltage of 5V. If the
rear bake lamp circuit is sound and
complete, this voltage will be reduced
(below 1V) and grounded through the rear
brake lamp. When the brake lamp is
switched on, the storage battery will
provide power to the rear brake lamp and
the EBCM to indicate that the brake lamp
is on. In the case of undervoltage (below
1V) or overvoltage (storage battery
voltage), the EBCM can not determine the
on/off status of the brake switch and DTC
C0095 is thus set up.

2. Conditions for setup of
troubleshooting codes
C0095 will be set up after initializing. If
the brake switch’s input circuit voltage is 2

to 5 V for two seconds, then the
troubleshooting code will be set up.

3. Actions to be taken for setup of
troubleshooting codes
(1) The ABS remains enabled;
(2) If the conditions for setting up
troubleshooting code DTC C0095 are gone,
corresponding scanning tools can be used
to clear the troubleshooting code.

4. Assistance to troubleshooting
The typical causes of DTC C0095 include:
(1) Open circuit of one or several parking
lamp circuits;
(2) Loosened connection between one or
several parking lamps with their sockets;
(3) Ground fault or open circuit of one or
several parking lamps;
(4) Terminal C7 brake switch input
terminal bad contact or open circuit.
(5) Open circuit of terminal C7 brake
switch input circuit.

5. Diagnostic steps

Step Diagnostic

action

Expected
value

Yes No

If the checking of diagnostic circuit has been
finished

 To

Step 2

To Step 3

Step down the brake pedal.
Is there any brake lamp that can’t work?
Including the CHMSL or No. 3 brake lamp.

 To

Step 6

To Step 3

1. Shut off engine
2. Detach the EBCM wire harness from the
EBCM;
3. Fix a universal communicator box between
the EBCM and EBCM wire harness with
arrayed adaptor cables.
Is the voltage within the range required?

Less than
2V

To
Step 4

To Step 7

Replace the EBCM.

Check the diagnostic circuit.

Unfix and check failing brake lamp/socket when

Rear left brake lamp

stepping down the brake pedal. Replace the
lamp/socket or repair the grounding if necessary.

7  Check the rear brake lamp

grounding/bulb/socket to see if there is any bad
contact/high resistance that would connect the
reference voltage of 5V of the EBCM to the low
voltage (below 2V).

2Check body height

Before measuring vehicle height, pressurize the tyre

to standard assigned value (pay attention to keeping left

tyre pressure in accordance with right tyre pressure. )

Front measurement point

Measure the height between lower control arm assy from the ground

and pivot of binding bolt of front steering knuckle. Body height of left and right wheel shall be basically the same.

Back

Rear measurement point

Measure the height between

rear axle assy from the ground and pivot of

  binding screw bolt of shock absorber . Body

height of left and right wheel shall be basically the same.

Caution: Before testing wheel alignment, adjust the vehicle to assigned height first

.

  If vehicle height fails to meet the standard value, check if front suspension and rear suspension have been damaged or

deformed.
