appear for 100 driving cycles running, it
can be eliminated from the database.
5. Assistance to troubleshooting
The typical cause of the setup of DTC
C0043 includes:
(1) Terminal D bad contact;
(2) Overresitance of terminal D ground
circuit;
(3) Open circuit of terminal D ground
circuit;
(4) BPMV pump motor trouble;
(5) EBCM trouble.

finished

 To

Step 2

To Step 4

1. Shut off engine
2. Detach the battery cathode cable
3. Detach the EBCM wire harness from the
EMBC
4. Connect one ohmmeter between the storage
battery cathode cable and EBCM terminal D.
Is the resistance within the range required?

Less than
2ohm

To
Step 3

To Step 7

1. Check from the battery cathode cable to the

To

To Step 8

engine cylinder and/or chasis ground wire to see
if the ground circuit is clean and fast.
2. Check from the EBCM terminal D to the
chasis grounding to see if the connection is
clean and fast.
Is the connection clean and fast?
