Ignition
switch
Power
supply
1. Description of circuit
This circuit is used to monitor the voltage
level that can be provided to EBCM. Not
all system properties can be ensured when
the voltage has decreased to a certain
extent. Therefore, monitor the voltage to
ensure that the battery has been charged
properly before the operation of ABS and
also during the operation of ABS if the
voltage is possible to decrease
substantially.
2. Conditions for setup of
troubleshooting codes
If the ignition voltage to terminal A11 and
the storage battery to terminals A and B
are lower than 10.5V in the absence of
ABS or during initializing, then C0036 can
only be set when the car speed is bigger
than 8km/h (5mile/h).
3. Actions to be taken for setup of
troubleshooting codes
(1) The electromagnetic relay is turned off
and pump motor and solenoid are
disconnected with the power source.
(2) Save DTC C0036.
(3) ABS is disabled and ABS alarm lamp
is on.
4. Conditions for clearing
troubleshooting codes
(1) If the conditions for setting up
troubleshooting code DTC C0036 are gone,
corresponding scanning tools can be used
to clear the troubleshooting code.
(2) If the troubleshooting code does not
appear for 100 driving cycles running, it
can be eliminated from the database.
5. Assistance to troubleshooting
The typical cause of the setup of DTC
C0036 includes:
(1) Weak or discharged storage battery;
(2) Bad contact of storage battery
terminals;
(3) Too much consumption of storage
battery energy during workshop assembly
or additional equipment connection
(additional load) after exworks;
(4) Ground fault of storage battery on
cylinder body or chasis;
(5) EBCM terminal bad contact;
(6) EBCM ground fault;
(7) Charging system fault (generator);
Thoroughly check the wiring and
connectors. Failure in thoroughly and
carefully checking the wiring and
connectors may lead to component
replacement instead of maintenance.
6. Diagnostic steps
