Engine oil dipstick

Engine oil consumption is influenced by

many factors. A new engine reaches the

normal operating specification after

driving approx. 5000 Km. More engine oil

might be cost when the engine operates

with high load.

Check the engine oil timely e.g. adding

fuel or before a long-distance travel.

Park the vehicle on a level surface before

check the engine oil. Switch off the

ignition and wait for a few seconds, which

let the oil flows into the oil pan (It may

need more time when outside temperature

is low or engine temperature does not

reach the normal operating temperature)

.

Do not start the cold start before check the

oil. Pull the dipstick out and clean it with

lint-free cloth. Push it carefully into the

guide tube and pull it out again.

When the level is between the two marks

on the dipstick, do not add oil. Hot oil may

exceed the upper mark for sever

centimeters due to hot inflation.

When the level is at the lower mark or

below, ONLY add oil according to Chery

specifications. Approx 1 liter of oil raises

the dipstick to the upper mark from the

lower one. Add oil only to the upper mark.

Engine oil filler cap

Rotate (arrows) and pull the cap. Do not

pull the cap when engine is operating.

Do not use any oil additives.

They are not necessary and will lead

damage to the engine in some cases.

Those damages are not within the

guarantee range.

Rotate the cap till you hear the sound of

“kala”. It is   closed.

Do not disposal the empty oil

container as daily litter. Please send to the

local qualified waste treatment institution.

Brake fluid/clutch oil

Do not let skin or eye come

into contact with the fluid. If

accidentally happened, wash it with

ample water and consult a physician.

Brake fluid and clutch oil are offered by

the same container.

The oil level must be between the marks

of MIN & MAX. If the level drops below

MIN, warning lamp for the brake

hydraulic system will come on.

ONLY add oil qualified with Chery

specification. Please see “Capacity and

specification”for details. Send to Chery

Special Service Center for system leak

check as soon as possible.

Add definitely clean fluid.

When the fluid come into

contact with vehicle paint, clean with

wet sponge or ample water.

Symbol behind the fluid container means

olefin-free fluid.

Coolant reservior

Do not open the container

when the engine is hot.

The level can be seen by the look-through

container. When the engine is cooling

down, the level should between the marks

of MIN and MAX. When the engine is hot,

the fluid level may exceed the MAX due

to inflation.

Add coolant when engine is cool. If you

have to add it while the engine is hot, wait

for 10 minutes to let the engine cool. Turn

the cap ¼ first to allow the accumulated

pressure escape. Then open it after another

period of time. Add the mixture of 50%

water and 50% coolant.

Precaution: Avoid the

coolant splash on any parts

of vehicle when add the fluid.

Engine coolant

Avoid the fluid coming into

contact with skin or eye. If

it happens, wash it with ample water

and consult a physician immediately.

Coolant with consistency cannot only keep

the engine not freezing, but also corrosion

inhibitor. The modern engine operates

with high temperature. The unqualified

coolant cannot keep engine away from

corrosion.

Therefore, using coolant qualified with

Chery’s specification. Please see“Capacity

and specification” for details.

Please do not mix coolants

of different colors and

specifications.

Add coolant when enging is cold

Power steering fluid Check

When the engine is cold, the level should

reach the mark of MAX. If the level is

below the mark of MIN, please add

qualified fluid.
