Steering

wheel

lock/

ignition switch

Steering wheel lock/ignition switch

includes the following key positions:

LOCK – the ignition is switched off, and

steering wheel is locked.

After removing the key, turn the steering

wheel slightly to the left or right until you

hear the lock engage.

ACC - Steering system unlocked.

Individual electrical equipments and

accessories are available for use. But

ignition switch and primary electrical loop

are not available for use.

If it is not able (or hard) to turn ignition

key to ACC position from LOCK position,

you can move the steering wheel slightly

to help disengage the locking mechanism.

To avoid exhausting the power of storage

battery, ignition switch should be not in

this position for a long time.

ON– To switch on the ignition circuit, all

electrical equipment and accessories are

available for use. And caution lights and

indicator lights are switched on. This is the

correct position of the key for driving. And

it is also the requested position for towing

vehicle.

START - Switch on the motor to start the

engine.

When the key-hole is on this position, the

front headlamps and power-waste

electrical equipments are cut off.

There is prevention of repeat-starts unit in

the ignition switch. Once the engine starts

this unit can prevent the engine

mis-starting and avoid damaging the

engine and its flywheel.

If you fail to start the engine, release the

ignition key to LOCK position and turn

back again before next starting. Let it go

to release the ignition key toON position

after starting.
