MONITOR DTC STATUS 1. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). 2. Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF". 3. Select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs)" mode and monitor "DTC Status" parameter. 4. Is the DTC B2456 present? YES Go to TERMINAL AND CONNECTOR INSPECTION procedure. NO Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor's and/or ECM's connector or was repaired and TERMINAL AND CONNECTOR INSPECTION Refer to DTC B1954. SIGNAL CIRCUIT INSPECTION 1. Check for open in harness 1. Ignition "OFF". 2. Measure resistance between terminal "11" of IMS and terminal "3" of power seat slide sensor. 3. Measure resistance between terminal "29" of IMS and terminal "3" of power seat recline sensor. 4. Measure resistance between terminal "28" of IMS and terminal "3" of front height sensor. 5. Measure resistance between terminal "10" of IMS and terminal "3" of rear height sensor. Specification :Approx. 0 ohms Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause DTC Strategy Check no. of pulse Open or short in signal Open or short in power Faulty seat motor/sensor Enable Conditions IGN `ON' & Engine `OFF' Threshold value 1V Detecting time 1 sec FAIL SAFE -
