WARNING 

NEVER  USE  TWO  WEAK  LINKS  WITH  ROUND  HOLES  OR  TWO 
WEAK  LINKS  WITH  OVAL  HOLES  DUE  TO  DOUBLE  BREAKING 
LOAD.  DO  NOT  USE  COMBINATION  OF  WEAK  LINKS  FROM 
DIFFERENT  MANUFACTURERS  DUE  TO  POSSIBLE  DIFFERENT 
ELONGATION OF WEAK LINKS BEFORE BREAKING. 

CAUTION 

IT  IS  RECOMMENDED  TO  REPLACE  THE  WEAK  LINKS  AFTER  
200  STARTS.  WEAK  LINK  EXCHANGE  IN  TIME  IS  SAFER  THAN  
A RISK OF UNWANTED BREAK DURING TAKEOFF OR TOW IN LOW 
ALTITUDE. 

(1)  Weak links removal: 

(a)  Unscrew nuts (5, Fig. 95-9) and pull out the bolts (5). 

(b)  Remove the primary weak link with round holes (2) and secondary 

weak link with oval holes (3) from the protective sleeve (1). 

(2)  Weak links installation: 

(a)  Before assembling check weak links for cracks and condition. 

(b)  Install the primary weak link with round holes (2, Fig. 95-9) and 

secondary weak link with oval holes (3) into the protective sleeve (1). 

(c)  Put bolts clamps (4) on protective sleeve, align all holes and insert 

bolts (5). 

(d)  Tighten the nuts (6) adequately to not deform the protective sleeve 

(1).
