The procedures listed below are for the LH side.  

1. INSTALL LICENSE PLATE LIGHT BULB 

a. Install the bulb to the socket.  

b. Insert the bulb/socket unit into the license plate.  

c. Turn the bulb/socket unit in the direction indicated by the arrow to install it.

INSTALLATION 

HINT:

Use the same procedures for the RH and LH side.  



The procedures listed below are for the LH side.  

1. INSTALL LICENSE PLATE LIGHT ASSEMBLY 

a. Connect the connector.

b. Attach the claw to install the license plate.  

c. Install the screw.

REMOVAL 

HINT: 

Perform these procedures only when replacing the high mounted stop light assembly. 

1. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY

a. for Regular Cab: 

Remove the headlining (see REMOVAL ). 

b. for Double Cab: 

Remove the headlining (see REMOVAL ). 

2. REMOVE HIGH MOUNTED STOP LIGHT ASSEMBLY 

a. Remove the 2 nuts.

b. Disconnect the connectors and clamp, and remove the stop light.  

3. REMOVE HIGH MOUNTED STOP LIGHT GASKET 

a. Remove the gasket.  

DISASSEMBLY 

1. REMOVE HIGH MOUNTED STOP LIGHT LENS 

HINT: 

Perform these procedures only when replacing the bulb. 

a. Remove the 4 screws and lens.
