– Then push tank flap unit fully home in side panel -arrow b-,

ensuring that locking lugs engage correctly in side panel.

– Tighten bolt -2-.
Specified torque for bolt -2-: 1.5 Nm.
– Pull rubber grommet of tank flap unit -3- over tank filler neck

• Perform functional check of release components.

Removing and installing tank filler flap

locking motor -V155-

3.4.1

Removing

Carry out following work:
– Lift up upper part of right luggage compartment trim -1- and

pull it off until the connector -2- is accessible. Do not remove

3. Tank flap unit

– Detach connector -2- of tank filler flap locking motor -V155-

-3-.

– Remove fuel tank flap unit

– Press rubber grommet -3- out of side panel and pull cable

-2- together with plug-in connector -1- out of side panel.

– Pull tank filler flap locking motor -V155- -4- in

-direction of arrow a- away from side panel and remove

-arrow b-.

Installing

Carry out following work:
Install in reverse order of removal.
– Check that grommet and connector are seated correctly.
– Installing tank flap unit

partment .
