Removing and installing rear lid

2.3.1

Removing

Carry out following work:
– Remove rear lid trim ⇒  General body repairs, interior; Rep.

gr.  70 ; Rear lid trim .

– Remove connectors of all installed electrical components.

2. Rear lid

– Loosen bolts -3- on left and right hinges (do not unbolt com‐

pletely).

Further dismantling requires the assistance of a second mechan‐

ic.
– Now, remove bolts -3- completely and then remove rear lid

-1-.

Installing

Carry out following work:
Installation of rear lid -1- is carried out in reverse order of removal.
Specified torque for bolts -3- 9 Nm
