1GR-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM  –  SFI SYSTEM

(a) Disconnect the ignition coil connector.
(b) Turn the ignition switch ON.
(c) Measure the voltage between the terminals of the B1 

and B3 ECM connectors.
Standard Voltage

(d) Reconnect the ignition coil connector.

NG

OK

(a) Disconnect the B5, B6, B7, B20, B23 or B24 ignition coil 

with igniter connector.

(b) Disconnect the B1 ECM connector.
(c) Check the resistance.

Standard Resistance (Check for open)

Standard Resistance (Check for short)

(d) Reconnect the ECM connector.
(e) Reconnect the ignition coil with igniter connector.

(b) Turn the ignition switch ON.
(c) Measure the voltage between the terminals of the B1 

and B3 ECM connectors.

(d) Reconnect the ignition coil connector.

(b) Check the resistance.

(c) Turn the ignition switch ON.
(d) Measure the voltage between the terminals of the wire 

harness side connector.
Standard Voltage

(e) Reconnect the ignition coil with igniter connector.

(e) Reconnect the ignition switch connector.
