a. for Regular Cab: 

Remove the front door window regulator sub-assembly (see DISASSEMBLY ). 

b. for Double Cab: 

Remove the front door window regulator sub-assembly (see DISASSEMBLY ). 

c. for CrewMax: 

Remove the front door window regulator sub-assembly (see DISASSEMBLY ). 

12. REMOVE FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH 

a. Using a T25 "TORX" driver, remove the 3 screws and motor.

INSPECTION 

1. INSPECT FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH 

a. Apply battery voltage to connector terminals 1 and 2.  

b. Check that the motor gear rotates smoothly as follows. 

OK  

FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH 

NOTE:

Be careful when removing the screws as the motor may fall and 
become damaged.

Measurement Condition

Specified Condition

Battery positive (+) --> 1 
Battery negative (-) --> 2

Motor gear rotates counterclockwise

Battery positive (+) --> 2 
Battery negative (-) --> 1

Motor gear rotates clockwise

If the result is not as specified, replace the motor. 

2. INSPECT FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH 

a. Apply battery voltage to connector terminals 1 and 2.  

b. Check that the motor gear rotates smoothly as follows. 

OK

Battery positive (+) --> 1 
Battery negative (-) --> 2

Motor gear rotates clockwise

INSTALLATION 

HINT: 



Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.  



The procedures listed below are for the LH side.  



A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart (see SPECIFIED TORQUE 
FOR STANDARD BOLTS ).  

1. INSTALL FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH 

a. Apply MP grease to the sliding and rotating areas of the regulator motor.  

b. Using a T25 "TORX" driver, install the motor with the 3 screws. 

Torque: 5.4 N*m (55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf)

HINT: 

For a new front window regulator, the installation position of the regulator will be set when the 
self-tapping screws are installed. 

2. INSTALL FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

a. for Regular Cab: 

Install the front door window regulator sub-assembly LH (see REASSEMBLY ). 

b. for Double Cab: 

Install the front door window regulator sub-assembly LH (see REASSEMBLY ). 

c. for CrewMax: 

Install the front door window regulator sub-assembly LH (see REASSEMBLY ). 

3. INSTALL FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

a. for Regular Cab: 

Install the front door glass sub-assembly LH (see REASSEMBLY ). 

b. for Double Cab: 

Install the front door glass sub-assembly LH (see REASSEMBLY ). 

c. for CrewMax: 

Install the front door glass sub-assembly LH (see REASSEMBLY ). 

4. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER LH 

a. for Regular Cab:
