HEADLIGHT RELAY 

ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION 

1. REMOVE HEADLIGHT RELAY (HEAD) 

a. Remove the headlight relay from the engine room relay box.

2. INSPECT HEADLIGHT RELAY 

a. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance  

HEADLIGHT RELAY 

If the result is not as specified, replace the relay. 

3. INSTALL HEADLIGHT RELAY  

HEADLIGHT DIMMER RELAY 

ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION 

1. REMOVE HEADLIGHT DIMMER RELAY (DIM) 

a. Remove the dimmer relay from the engine room relay box. 

Tester Connection

3 - 5

When battery voltage is not applied to terminals 1 and 2 10 kohms or higher
When battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2

Below 1 ohms

2. INSPECT FOG LIGHT RELAY 

a. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
