REMOVE OIL COOLER SPACER

Remove the bolt and oil cooler spacer from the oil filter bracket

Remove the gasket

REMOVE OIL PUMP RELIEF VALVE

Remove the relief valve plug and gasket

Remove the valve spring and oil pump relief valve   

INSPECTION

INSPECT OIL COOLER ASSEMBLY 

a

Check the oil cooler for damage or clogging  If necessary, replace the oil cooler assembly

INSPECT OIL PUMP RELIEF VALVE 

a

Coat the relief valve with engine oil   

b

Check that the relief valve falls smoothly into the valve hole by its own weight  

If the relief valve is not as specified, replace it  If necessary, replace the oil filter bracket

REASSEMBLY

INSTALL OIL PUMP RELIEF VALVE 

a

Coat the oil pump relief valve with engine oil   

b

Install the relief valve and valve spring into the oil pump cover hole

Install a new gasket and the plug  

Torque: 37 N*m (375 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf)  

INSTALLATION

INSTALL OIL COOLER SPACER 

a

Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new gasket

Install the gasket to the oil cooler spacer

Install the oil cooler spacer to the oil filter bracket with the bolt  

Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf)
