l. Measure the fuel pressure at idle. 

Fuel pressure: 265 to 304 kPa (2.7 to 3.1 kgf/cm

2

 , 38 to 44 psi) 

 

m. Stop the engine.  

n. Check that the fuel pressure remains as specified for 5 minutes after the engine has stopped. 

Fuel pressure: 147 kPa (1.5 kgf/cm

2

 , 21 psi) or more 

 

If the pressure is not as specified, check the fuel pump, pressure regulator and/or injectors. 

o. After checking the fuel pressure, disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal and 

carefully remove SST to prevent gasoline from splashing.  

p. Reinstall the front fuel pipe to the LH delivery pipe (see INSTALLATION ).  

q. Reconnect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery.  

r. Check for fuel leaks (refer to "CHECK FUEL PUMP OPERATION AND FUEL LEAK" in ON-

VEHICLE INSPECTION).

ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION 

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

2. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )  

3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )  

4. INSPECT FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY 

a. Disconnect the 8 injector connectors.  

b. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. 

Standard resistance

If the resistance is not as specified, replace the injector. 

c. Reconnect the 8 injector connectors.  

5. INSTALL AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )  

6. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )  

7. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

NOTE:



Some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected 
(see INITIALIZATION ).  



After the ignition switch is turned OFF, the navigation system 
requires approximately 90 seconds to record various types of 
memory and settings. As a result, after turning the ignition switch 
OFF, wait 90 seconds or more before disconnecting the cable from 
the negative (-) battery terminal.
